The latest update of Thunderbird somehow made this message appear "This is an unsupported version of Thunderbird!!" (see attached picture). Is this a bug? I've checked the version on the homepage and it's the same that's running on my PC (Windows 11).

In my inbox I see a couple of emails that (once opened, or even seeing preview) are not associated correctly to the original email sent or received. It's quite odd as it happened only a couple of times, but even after updating, rebooting and moving these messages, they are still showing the wrong addressee and content.

Greetings, recently our pc was attacked ,malware. A new windows program was installed. This resulted in some apps being deleted. One of which was the Firefox email. Inspite of many attempts to reinstate it I have had no success. There is great difficulty in finding what to do to reinstall. There are assumptions that I have particular information. Other than our 3 email addresses we do have any code numbers or passwords, as these to were also lost. As it has been several days since the "repair" the inability to access Firefox with historic emails is now creating a number of serious issues. I need urgent help in reinstalling our Firefox email. My inability to find that one person who I know can help is out there. The FAQ were of no help. The request how to reinstall Firefox does not appear to be a FAQ. Ross.

Hi everyone, My Thunderbird yesterday - without doing any unusual chances that know of - went weird. Whenever I open the programme now it shows a completely different interface and I can't navigate back in any way to the usual calendar, email, contacts. It also seems to be frozen, because when I click settings it doesn't open any window. I have attached a screenshot of how it looks now.

Could anyone help me out on how to get back to regular Thunderbird? I am also a bit worried of losing all my contacts / calendar.

Let me know if there's more info I can give from my end. Any help very much appreciated.

I've noticed that contacts disappear from my address book. On checking it seems Thunderbird is automatically deleting them!

This is unwanted behaviour.

I need it stopped.

On Mac Sonoma 14.4, Thunderbird 115.12.2

When I try add my Gmail account or calendar account, the Gmail sign-in prompt page comes up but is entirely blank and does not load. When I restart my laptop I can sometimes get the page to load but when I allow my account to be connected, the next page does not load still. So the authentication process does not finish. The result is the same whether I enter my password on Thunderbird or not.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird, and downgraded to an older version. Same issue.

I am not sure if it is a Mac issue but I am only having the issue with Thunderbird.

I've noticed recently that addresses that were in my personal address book have disappeared, basically they've been deleted. This next bit is from memory so excuse the vagueness. The last time I looked for these I found them in a bin marked as "deleted by thunderbird".

What is going on?

I need these addresses back.

I subscribed to a blog as I usually do in Thunderbird but it ended up as a folder. I've tried to delete it but it doesn't go away. There are no posts in it either and resubscribing to the blog doesn't work - it just says I'm already subscribed. Any suggestions?

A while ago I subscribed to an RSS, but all that happened was that two empty folders were created and they're impossible to delete. They just return. I run the latest Thunderbird on an updated Windows 11 PC.

i have 2 desk top windows 10 comps and an ipad and i phone which all share the same email address. 1 comp works fine, the other desktop and ipad will send emails but not receive them, the iphone can send emails and sometimes receives them but not all the time. IMAP port 993 and ssl/tls with normal password. Disabling Avast anti virus did not fix it. any ideas?

I cannot send or receive messages on my Thunderbird a/c. I Believe I have to firstly update my email password from my supplier (Spark New Zealand) but to date I have been unable to do this. When I tried to do this on line Thunderbird indicated they did not recognize my email account at all. What should I do?

I don't seem to be able to self help very good anymore, can someone please take the time to teach me / guide me through the steps ?

After some intermittent problems, hopefully solved, I am now left with one main problem. When I send an email to agmail eddress it fails, saying something about SPF having a hard fail and no DDKM, whatever that means. If I send emails from webmail ro my iPad they get through. Can this be solved, please?

Thunderbird 115.12.1 (64-bit) on Linux Debian 12, I have several accounts in a panel on the left. When the accounts are collapsed, they unexpectedly expand and make it difficult to know which account's email I'm reading on the right.

How do I control that behavior, please?

On powering up my PC this morning, opened Thunderbird and everything was gone - email settings to my various accounts, settings, calendar, addresses etc nothing is left at all

All I have is a basic screen : "To set up your existing email address" etc

I've been trying to get Thunderbird (102.6.0) to filter messages based on message body contents that contain specific URLs (such as "https://docsend.com"), but it's not working. I even tried setting emails to be viewed in plain text (as opposed to HTML), but that also didn't work.

How can I achieve this?

I am running Thunderbird 115.12.1 (64-bit). I somehow turned on the number of messages and folder size and can't seem to figure out of to remove them. A colleague suggested I click the 3 dots to the right of the "New Message" but I don't see them at all. Please advise. Thank you!

Hi, my Thunderbird has brought down 279 emails from Gmail. I opened Gmail and found the emails properly in the Trash folder. So it appears that Thunderbird is bringing down all folders??? I've been a user for years and never notice downloads from spam or trash before. New change to Tbird? Is there some way to exclude spam and trash folders from download? My version is 115.11.1 (64-bit) TYIA Richard

I'm trying to change my signature on an account I've had for sometime. It lets me make the changes I want and when I try sending a message it works fine. However when I close Thunderbird down and re open it, the signature has reverted to the previous version. I can't see any option to save the changes to the account settings so they'll still be there next time.

I've tried it 2 ways - firstly editing the HTML signature text, and secondly attaching instead a signature file. In both cases it works fine until I close and re-open.
