When composing emails in Thunderbird for Android, I can't find any options to format text.
I can't select a typeface (even the most basic html tags for serif/sans-serif/monospace aren't available) or even make text bold, italic or underlined.
This makes it very hard to create emphasis where necessary, and it feels like ancient emails from before HTML formatting.
Is there something I am missing, or does this depend on the phone?
NB: I can do this with my messaging apps and the Gmail app, which I prefer not to use.

I'm coming back to Thunderbird, from bluemail, and was wondering if you could add a feature they had. Essentially, you could tap on the profile icon in the inbox, and you'd get a screen with all the messages you had from that address. From there, you had a button at the bottom of the screen that would open a menu with options to: message, mark all read, and delete all. Theres a confirmation dialog after the delete all option is tapped.
Is this something you could add?

Ich habe die Version 22 installiert. Die Signatur hatte ich vor dem Update geschrieben u. eingefügt. Es hatte mir bisher immer die Sig in meinem Format eingefügt. Erst mit meiner kleinen Änderung ging das Format verloren, lässt sich nicht ändern. Egal in welcher Tastatur (gboard od. Samsung), wenn ich versuche einzufügen bzw zu ändern, es wird mir der Zeilenumbruch nur im Schreibmodus im Signaturtextfeld bei der Tastaur nur bei Änderungsversuch des Textes dort nicht mehr zur Verfügung gestellt.

Something is wrong with Thunderbird. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. Unable to get inbox emails. Infact no emails are coming. You can see the processing circle working but never completes action. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or the app is the problem. Using Samsung tablet. All apps updated. Please help.

Android app is Missing Spam Folder. A Yahoo filter on the server moves important emails to the spam folder. The spam folder does not sync with my other folders. Yahoo places these messages inside the Thunderbird app but they cannot not be read, I cannot find the folder, I cannot sync the folder, and the app does not give any other option on the setting panel. On my phone I have to have both the Firebird and the Yahoo App to see all folders. How can I fix it_

Greetings, I must say I'm perplexed and dumfounded with my problem. Without rhyme or reason, when I check my email throughout the day I will notice that the email has not synced for a period of time. I then go to check my settings, in particular, the fetching email setting and the sending email setting, and when I test them to determine that they are working I get the screen that explains there is a problem with syncing. I then look at the passwords and they appear to be old passwords that are no longer used nor valid. I delete the old passwords, input the current and valid passwords and then test the connection and synchronization and they rapidly sync without any errors. I have 4 emails registered in my Thunderbird account and it happens randomly to all 4of the emails. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. Needless to say, I spend a bit of time continually having to go to settings, delete the old password, enter the new one, and then everyone good. At least for a short while. I'm not sure if I stumped you guys with this one, or, hopefully, someone else has experienced the same thing. Duplicity if this problem excited me, not because the problem exists, but because sometime else has experienced the same thing and I would feel at ease knowing that I am not going insane. I hope you guys can help me with this. Please let me know whatever steps you think I should take to start sleuthing for a solution. My fingers are crossed. Also, I would like to extend many thanks and my gratitude for the tireless effort you all contribute selflessly to the support and maintenance of a wonderful app, and the continual persistence of if the project for all these years. Oh I almost forgot to mention that I saw a link for the opportunity to use/test the Beta Version, but suddenly I am unsure a to whether I should proceed with setting the beta up. I'm not sure if it will complicate the potential for a solution to my problem, or if the Beta App is completely separate and isolated from the Current stable release. Is there a way to configure the widget to also do this type of sorting?

I am trying to troubleshoot an issue, but the debugger is failing to generate or export useful information. Steps to Reproduce:Open Thunderbird for Android and navigate to Settings -> General settings -> Debugging.Toggle on Enable debug logging.Replicate the issue I am trying to troubleshoot.Return to the Debugging menu and tap Export logs.Expected Behavior:The app should successfully export a text file containing the local IMAP/POP3 commands, synchronization records, and error outputs.

I would like to report what appears to be a bug in Thunderbird for Android.
I use a POP3 account with the following settings:
POP3 Port 995 SSL/TLS
The same account works correctly in Thunderbird for Windows.
The problem only occurs in Thunderbird for Android.
What happens:
New emails arrive and are initially displayed in Thunderbird for Android. After the next synchronization, some messages disappear from the Inbox. The messages are not deleted from the server because they are still visible in Thunderbird for Windows. I also tested the same POP3 account in Samsung Email on the same Android phone. Samsung Email continues to show the messages correctly while Thunderbird for Android no longer shows them.
Troubleshooting already performed:
Reinstalled Thunderbird for Android. Removed and added the account again. Tested on both my Android phone and Android tablet. The same problem occurs on both devices.
Is this a known issue with POP3 accounts, or is there another setting I should check?
