Hi,

I am trying to setup firefox to my liking automatically To this end, I am using "firefox profile maker" and it works great but I'm having issues adding all the add-ons that I like.

Only the add-ons that are included in ffprofile make seem to install properly (but also, now I can't uninstall them ??)

Anyway here is my full process for installing firefox automatically and then configuring it automatically. Perhaps you can hep me figure it out.

First I install firefox automatically using the offline installer (my computers do not have access to internet by default, I must whitelist each computer, then individual software then individual websites first)

So, I obtain the offline installer from this URL https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/111.0/win64/en-CA/Firefox%20Setup%20111.0.exe

Next I have used the website https://ffprofile.com/ to create a pre-made profile

This yields two files, and their contents profile.zip

profile\prefs.js profile\extensions\CanvasBlocker@kkapsner.de.xpi profile\extensions\uBlock0@raymondhill.net.xpi enterprise_policy.zip defaults\pref\autoconfig.js distribution\policies.json firefox.cfg

Next, I have pre-downloaded added all the add-on files I would like to install to the add-on folder However, when I perform the procedure, only canvas blocker and uBlock0 get installed

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. If I take all the add-on files, dump them all into firefox, it opens 16 tabs On each tab I can now click add and click okay, if I do it right and quick enough, they all install, unless I miss one.

That's over 50 clicks and very annoying !

I'm attempting to print to my printer, a document from Google Doc but each time I select or hotkey the print function it prompts to download the page to PDF instead.

• Bulleted list item Sporadically it will print on some random sites, others it prompts to download PDF

• Bulleted list item Printing to my printer works on and on PC document as well as Chrome, IE, Edge every time
• Bulleted list item I have used the 'Clear saved print settings' in the Help section
• Bulleted list item I have changed default PDF applications to Firefox and other programs
• Bulleted list item I have reset browser, refreshed tabs, power cycled printer

All of these changed nothing. Firefox printer settings are few and far between, I was surprised for a basic and important function.

Remove or disable reading view for only AARP webpages in Firefox ...all other sites are fine..... it is a recent problem..... it keeps going to 40 % even tho my default is 120 %... as I have to click on the toggle on each new tab to be able to view pages.....again only on AARP webpages.

When I tried to cancel a PayPal automatic payment, the screen went to a white haze and locked up. I was able to cancel them in Chrome, but I’d like to know how to fix this in Firefox. TIA Bob Brown

I have new work PC. I installed Firefox and logged in to my account. None of my pinned extensions appear on the toolbar any more. I tried to customize the toolbar again, but none of the extensions appear in the customization menu. Help. I'm worthless without quick access to my password manager.

I can't paste text into emails (msn.com) anymore when I use Firefox. What gives? I ran tests with Microsoft and it works fine on Chrome & Edge--only problem is with Firefox. Please help

I'm having problems streaming live video on srf.ch (Swiss public television). The whole tab becomes unusable after streaming for a few minutes. Playback just stops and it's impossible to reload or navigate to a different address using the same tab.

This happens with a clean profile using two different computers with very different hardware. I'm able to reproduce it using Firefox 111 and 112, but not with Firefox 110. It doesn't happen in Chrome.

Unfortunately, I couldn't report it as a web compatibility bug. The person reviewing the issue wasn't able to access the streams due to geoblocking (VPN doesn't help). They asked me to provide additional information such as console logs. But even the console stops working when the problem occurs and there are no error messages before that.

Is there anything else I could try to help diagnosing this issue or is it a lost case?

Yesterday I left work and my computer on with several Firefox tabs open. Today I came in and Firefox was closed. Double clicking the icon on my desktop, or on the icon in the taskbar gives the small circle loading symbol next to the mouse for about a second. But no browser window opens. There is no indication in the Task Manager that a Firefox browser is open.

I have attempted to restart my computer several times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I have tried updating Firefox. I have checked that all my drivers on the computer are up to date. I have run a Malwarebytes virus scan on my computer. I cannot get Firefox to open to check any other settings. I have tried to open Firefox on another account on the same computer and it also results in the same thing.

If anyone has any ideas that might fix this, I would really appreciate it. Thank you. Computer is a Dell OptiPlex 5070 running Windows 10.

I often send same e mail to people, so I use copy/paste from word doc. When I send the e mail it corrupts, see example below. Someone suggested I should copy/paste from notepad instead, but still same issue. Then I sent exact same e mail (copy/paste from word doc) and send via Chrome. No issue. Any suggestions please ?

Firefox won't reload tab when NoScripts running. This didn't happen until I went to version 11.4.18 of NoScripts and Version 111.0 of Firefox (both at same time). All 8 tabs load when I initially start FF 111.0. All tabs reload with no problems when I initially start or restart FF with Noscripts active. It is only after FF been running for an hour or so that tabs stop reloading. I do have another addon running called tab reloader. Addon tab reloader and the FF reload icon both stop working after FF runs for awhile. You will see the web page name in bottom left corner of screen and an hour class on tab. Stop NoScripts, the hour class goes away and all tabs reload, both with the FF tab reload icon and the tab reloader addon.

I thought it might be the tab reloader addon, so I set 8 tabs to reload every 10 seconds for awhile, just a couple minutes. NoScripts was running. This didn't cause a problem, everything was reloading. So I set tab reloader back to reload 8 tabs every hour, No scripts still active.

Come back in a little over an hour and the FF tab reload isn't working as described earlier. Stop NoScripts and tabs finish reloading.

Now is this a Noscript 11.4.18 or FF 111.0 issue, I did both at same time. Prior to that I was on FF 110.0.1. Currently running Windows 10 64 bit, haven't done the March update as nothing much there. All was fine until FF and NoScript update. All is fine until FF runs for awhile. For now I just turned NoScripts off.

The Firefox built-in Picture-In-Picture works great and has great pictures, much better than Chrome addon PIPs. I noticed today it has gone through an update and the first difference I noticed is the "Back to tab" button has moved from bottom center to top left. As I said, the PIP of Firefox has a great design and features, but is missing one feature that would make it perfect. Can you please add a RED PROGRESS BAR at the bottom of the PIP box. For example, there is an "Enhancer for YouTube" addon PIP (not a regular PIP, but other type of PIP that pops up when scrolling down to comments section) which has that and it's very useful (please see attachment). And if that feature is added, the ideal and logical design would be to show the "red progress bar" while hovering over the PIP box, not an always-showing feature, just like a YouTube video red progress bar works.

Every time I connect my account on another device to sync up, it totally resets extensions and new tab shortcuts on ALL of my devices. It keeps my bookmarks, theme and what extensions are installed, but again all of my new tab shortcuts and my extension are reset, which is a pain in the rear for extensions like NoScript and taking the time to rebuild all of the new tab shortcuts.

Is there any way to set a device as the primary to push out to others or download those settings to avoid having to set them up again?
