I have just installed Firefox 4 today, I have found that the drop-down list of "Bookmarks" does not include "Organise Bookmarks", so I cannot backup my Bookmarks. Have this function be changed in Firefox 4? Please advise.

I use the mouse wheel for scrolling on my desktop and the "middle" button in conjunction with the pointer nub on my laptop (lenovo W500 thinkpad) to simulate a mouse wheel. At the point in time I upgraded firefox to V4, this function quit working. I've tried it in IE and it still works there, and it still works in OpenOffiice.org swriter, so it isn't something changed in the hardware or OS (XP). Any suggestions?

My home page has a banner on the top, which includes tabs for support, web mail, contact us ,etc. The banner box is blank, but because I know where the tabs in the banner are I can still use them. I had the same problem on my old XP laptop. I also have it from time to time on my Vista PC.

Other symptoms along with this problem are, Yahoo mail will not load, and on Facebook I can't enter comments ( I can enter the comment , but it will not post when I hit enter.) I used to be able to exit Mozilla and reboot and it would go away for awhile on the other laptop and PC, but now I can't stop it from happening every time on this one. I have FF4, just d/l it, I allowed pop ups, all to no avail.

I have Norton 360 on all puters, along with System Mechanic, but this happened when I used Kaspersky and a different registry cleaner on the XP laptop only.

Naturally I have pop-up blocker functional but there is a new and really, really annoying "coupon" pop-up that is always on Amazon but also on other sites. Close the coupon window and it pops up every time I navigate to look at any product. It really is bad and vexingly doesn't even offer anything that the Amazon template doesn't already offer ("free shipping" above a certain expenditure on some items etc.). It has a distinctive green border and appears on other sites as well. How did they get around your software? How can I make this stop?

I need 128-bit encryption capability on my web browser in order to use a specific financial website for bill paying, The site's encryption test shows that Firefox 4.0 (newly installed) does not provide that level of security. Help?

I've had Firefox 4 since the release date, but today it's been acting up - it's not loading certain webpages properly, removing all the formatting and just putting all the text/links/etc in a list along the left hand side of the window. It's also not showing some pictures at all any more, although they're all hosted on Photobucket. This is literally ther first time there's been a problem with it since updating, and I've not changed any settings on it at all, so I have no clue why it's suddenly broken. Is anyone else getting this?

After I click View/Full Screen on the Firefox menu bar, I lose the main FF Menu bar. When I hit the esc key, the screen remains locked in full screen view mode. Then I have to reboot my computer to get back to the default FF menu and display mode.

Why doesn't the esc key work the way it works when I'm viewing videos in full screen mode?

NOT FASTER!! MUCH SLOWER!! When I close Firefox, I can no longer save my tabs. WHAT GIVES? When a new page isn't coming up, I can no longer stop it from loading & try again. WHY do my tabs need to be above the toolbars? I've loved using Firefox & have used it exclusively for about the last ten years, but if this is how it's always going to be now, I'm going to look for a new browser!

I followed the instructions to rename files in Firefox folder and tried to troubleshoot my few add-ons. Since upgrading to v4 I am no longer asked if I want to save tabs. Please advise... Thanks

The question says it all, really. I just installed Firefox 4, and noticed a significant (for me) reduction in utility: in the previous version, the back button used to have a drop-down arrow which showed the previous pages visited in a particlular tab, and allowed you to go back several pages in one go, if you wanted to (say, when browsing a series of sites to buy something or other). Firefox 4 no longer has this facility, which I personally found very useful from time to time.

Is it available by some other means? If not, maybe I should consider reverting to the previous version, which suited me better, in this regard at least.

I cannot login to LinkedIn with Firefox but there is no such problem with IE8. The trouble started about 2 months ago when I had version 3.6.15 and continues with the present version 4.0.1. I have been in correspondence with LinkedIn ever since but nothing they suggest works. I like Firefox and it is my default browser, so it is annoying to have to use IE8 just for this task. I would therefore very much appreciate any solutions that anyone can offer.

I asked a question earlier and got an email saying there was an answer. I clicked on the link in the email and got to this "Firefox Help" site but Firefox crashed before I could get through the login to see the answer. I now cannot find my question with the answer. Since I have an ID I expected to be able to go to some sort of account page where there would be links to my activity but I can't find anything like that. ("Dashboard" doesn't seem to be it.) The Search function just bounces me around between various canned answer but doesn't show my question.

Firefox 4 will not run a Java app on my brokers website. It tells me I have a missing plugin and gives the option to download plugin. I try that then it says no suitable plugins were found and suggests I manual install java applet v. 1.4.1. This java version was last used in mac OS 10.4. I use OS 10.6. I note that Firefox 3.6 had this version embedded which allowed it to use the newer versions of Apple Java applets whereas Firefox 4 does not.

I just upgraded my installation of FF3 to FF4 and the installation seemed to go off without a hitch.

I left the "Launch Firefox now" button ticked and hit finish. Then nothing...

I can see that the process is being started (from Task Manager), but it doesn't do anything. There is no safe mode option available for me to try and restart it, so my only option is to kill it.

I have tried installing normally, advanced, "Run as administror", restaring my PC; none of these worked. Every time the process starts, but nothing happends. Not even a task bar windows comes up.

In the end I had to download (in Internet Explorer, yuk!) an older version of Firefox (3) and reinstall using this. This at least made it work again, but I still can't get FF4 working!

I updated it on my other personal PC and it worked fine (all addons the same, but older hardware).

In case it's relevant, I have heard of some annoyances with hardware acceleration and if I could get to the option to turn it off I would.

All drivers are up-to-date, bar my OS which is fully up-to-date bar having SP1 installed. No other application are having problems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Menu Bar at top of the screen does not look right after the Help entry. File thru Help is fine and have a white background. After that I can see my screen background with icons for Print, Downloads, and others superimposed. Some of the icons can hardly be seen as they blend right in with my Wallpaper. Furthermore the line above the Menu Bar has it's own problems: It has the Firefox logo followed by some writing that go for for about 6 inches followed by stuff from my wallpaper. In other words, starting from the top of the screen I have two short lines of stuff with a white background followed by a see through view of stuff from my screen wallpaper. Starting with the Navigation Toolbar everything is fine. I don't have this problem with IE8. Can anyone shed some light on this problem. Thanks, JWare
