Since last week our wordpress site no longer appears properly in firefox.

CSS elements are no longer loaded such as the patterned background.

Images which where hidden within a slider are all visible and images which are sitting on another sister server are not shown. Our flowplayer no longer works and in the backend on the wordpress dashboard certain functionality no longer appears.

I'd say that Firefox is no longer allowing any javascript elements to wok but I'm no expert.

Firefox is easily my browser of choice but our site appears perfectly normally in all other browsers.

Hello dear Mozilla,

I remarked that since FF29 and FF30 b1/b2 Firefox doesn't automatically backup its bookmarks any more (as normally shoudl be on a daily basis) in folder C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\yyyyyy.default\bookmarkbackups. Very strange, I tried everything up to even a drastic complete uninstall (incl. register) and reinstall of Firefox, but nothings helps : no automatic .JSON-files any more. I assume that it has something to do with Firefox dll-files not present anymore or not working properly anymore or defaults in the about:config , that may be accidentally changed in the programming or compilation of the exe-installation file of FF 29/30. All other things in FF 29/30 work properly though :-) Can you please fix this. Thanks, Rick

Ok, so this has been a repetitive problem for me. I recently removed some light malware, trovi from my browser, I managed to change my homepage to about:newtab and now it works, but my search engine is still Yahoo. I tried

1. Going to about:config and changing keyword.URL into its default, by resetting it, it doesn't work. Also, more recently, there is no keyword.URL in about:config.

2. Resetting all objects with the word " Search" in them in about:config.

3. Disabling suspicious addons/extensions and starting Firefox in Safemode.

4. Deleting ALL cookies.

Any other methods will be appreciated, and tryed, in the end, if all fails, I will just reset my browser, but I am dreading that because I have a bunch of info that will be hard to replace on it.

Constant crash for Plugin container since version 30. Disabled Flash, shockwave and Adobe reader Reset Firefox to default values.

Used Fiefox for last 6 years almost exclusively - did not want to switch to Chrome or IE...but...

Since using Firefox on Windows 7, I have been encountering crashes and hangs that all exhibit the same symptoms. Large blocks of the screen go black. Moving the mouse restores the images, then they go black again. It happens most quickly when scrolling through images (like from a Google image search). Sometimes I will kill FF, but other times it crashes before I can kill it. The Windows eventvwr doesn't record the crash.

I've reinstalled FF from scratch. Reimaged my machine with Windows 7. Bought another laptop installed Windows 7 from scratch and the crashes continue. I've started Firefox in safe mode, still crashes. It usually takes a couple of hours of use before the video goes black and it crashes, almost like a memory leak.

This has been going on literally for months.

I tried to save a page as "Web page, complete" in v. 30. It used to work in v. 29. Now it never saves the original. It used to say in the Downloads list, when I did save a file, that it failed. I learned to ignore that, because the first time I would save a file, as "web page, complete," it did get listed in Windows explorer and I could open it up in Firefox and see it, looking close to the same way I saw it originally (some words are on a new line, and images are smaller).

It is most critical when I want to save a list of the journal articles I download, along with images of the check off boxes having a check mark. In v. 29, they were there. If I saved the saved page again, after checking off more boxes, it wouldn't save it but it wouldn't tell me so, either. I would have to always keep an eye on the directory listing in Windows Explorer. I learned to just save it again, and it would be saved. However, now in v. 30 it NEVER saves the main htm page of this ORIGINAL web page when I save it with the option "web page, complete," but it does save the "_files" folder for ancillary images. I now have to save the original web page as file type: "files, all," putting in the .htm as file extension. I then open it up in firefox, and none of the boxes are checked as they were in the original. So I have to recheck all the boxes again and then save it as "web page, complete". This time, the "web page, complete" works, but clearly not on the original web page. The resulting file looks like the page that got saved with the "files,all" option I saved before, but now the boxes I checked off are still checked off. I get the web page back, but not looking much like it was originally, and only after a great deal of work.

I am using Firefox 30 on XP

With Firefox 30.0, when I add cookie exception, it disappears from the list after restart. However the exception works (I have set some cookies as allowed). So, it seems they are just not showed.

Ads just aren't being blocked by Ablock. It just stopped working. I tried reinstalling it, but that did nothing. Scrolling over the icon, no items have been blocked. What do I do?

Summary: The "Always ask me where to save files" feature does not work. No dialog box comes up, apparently because the browser is stuck on a bad old read-only lastDir location, in a prefs.js file that I can't edit.

Details: I am using Firefox 30.0 on Mac OS 10.6.8. My Mac has a both a read/write Mac partition that I use most of the time, and a bootcamp Windows partition drive ("C"), which I can read but not write to.

At some point I accidentally tried to download a file from a site, using Firefox, to the read-only Windows C drive. Ever since that time, I have not been able to download any files from Firefox, except to the firefox/downloads folder. This is inconvenient. If, in preferences, I try to set downloads to ""Always ask me where to save files", the dialog box does not come up when I actually try to save files. This problem does not apply to saving photos by right-clicking them.

If I open, in text-edit, mozilla/firefox/profiles/t4vockvue.default/prefs.js, which was saved yesterday, I can see a problematic line. It reads: user_pref("browser.download.lastDir", "C:\\Documents and Settings\\[etcetc]"); C:\\Documents and Settings\\[etcetc] being the read-only windows directory.

This prefs.js is apparently not an editable file.

I tried to fix this by opening a browser tab in Firefox and opening about:config. The editable browser.download.lastDir does NOT show the same "lastDir"....it shows some directory that I successfully downloaded photos to, by right-clicking on a photo.

How can I fix this problem?

firefox is locking my pc to the point i have to hit the power bottom to reboot it it was happening on my old card 9800gtx so i went and bought a new card 750ti gtx and still haveing the same problem any help would be great .............heres the info

Hello, I have just upgraded to Firefox 31, and have noticed that when a popup window is created, the window is very small (same size as the menubar) and it cannot be resized.

Is this a bug? Firefox 30 does not do this.

Hi there. I'm having real problems with my firefox. I'd normally just struggle along but it has become pretty unusable, and firefox is my favorite browser i don't want to switch. I'm running OS 10.8.3. Recently, Approx 2-3 weeks, firefox has stopped loading images. I noticed this first in google maps where all the information boxes that float on top of the main map would momentarily appear and then white out. they will occasionally appear again when scrolled over. This has now started to also happen in e-bay bid windows, guardian editorially content, and even data entry boxes (see image of Firefox sign-in) I have had a look at the forums and taken the following steps, none of which have worked: Check that images are not blocked by following the "more information"> media route (incidentally, even this appears blocked out), I've also done a reset of firefox, and a de-install re-install.. So now i'm pretty much flummoxed. Even the box that i'm typing this is whites out as it fills up with content and needs a new page! Any help would be massively appreciated. I am using MalwareBytes direction to get rid of FunMoods. I go to Help/TroubleShooting Inforation/ and click on Reset Firefox. In the popup menu, I click on Reset Firefox and then get the "This is embarrassing …" screen. I don’t understand what "Remove one or more tabs…" means as I don't know of any that are open and I have started new sessions.

The screen then offers me to Restore or Close and neither seem to bring me anywhere. What is up with all this? What should be happening?

In v26.0 of Firefox, I configured my menu bar ("File", "Edit", etc) to contain the following after the menu items:

- back button
- forward button
- reload/stop button
- home button
- progress indicator
- site rating indicator
- address bar
- tab-list drop down

This kept Firefox nicely uncluttered. After upgrading to v30.0:

- the address bar has to be below the tabs (ie it cannot be moved to the menu bar)
- there are no forward/back buttons (they appear to be part of the address bar)
- there does not appear to be a reload/stop button
- there does not appear to be a progress indicator
- there does not appear to be a site rating indicator

This is shit. How the fuck can this be called progress???

Since Firefox automatically updated to V. 30, it constantly crashes several times a day, every day. There's no reason for it. Nothing has changed on my end. Please get the bugs out of your browser updates before releasing them!

I'm using firefox 30 on Windows 7. I was under the impression Firefox supported mp4 playback in this configuration as described at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Supported_media_formats but I can't get it to work anywhere.

webm and ogg theora work fine but mp4 playback doesn't.
