A user I am servicing uses Firefox every day. They are on Windows 11. Every afternoon (sometimes at other times), Firefox stops working and loses its internet connection (everything else on their computer continues to be connected).  When they close and restart Firefox to reconnect, it then tells me the user that they are using an old profile and need to create a new one.  They're able to re-log into their Firefox account, which eventually resyncs all their data, but they then have to re-sign into everything, which is a major inconvenience.  The only workaround the I have found is to reinstall Firefox, ever time this happens which then allows the user to use all their settings until they have to repeat the process the next day (i.e., everything remains signed in and/or logging back in is easier than described above).

• Camera: Logitech C925e

When I go to a meeting on meet.google.com, Google Meet says "Camera is starting". My camera light flashes and then stays on. However, Google Meet is unable to connect to the camera.

Upon closing the tab, the camera light stays on and the camera is unresponsive to all apps. The camera must be unplugged and plugged back in to work again.

The issue does not exist when I go to webcammictest.com in Firefox or in other desktop apps. The camera works correctly on meet.google.com when I use Chrome.

I have tried removing camera and microphone permissions to meet.google.com and re-granting them. I have tried deleting all meet.google.com cookies and storage.

Thank you for the help! I'm wondering if other AI chatbots, Lumo, in particular, will continue to be added as options to the updated sidebar? An unofficial extension exists (https://codeberg.org/daskashk/lumo_ai_by_proton_chat_in_sidebar) that adds the ability for a link to appear in the sidebar. However, it does not offer the full integration that the official browser update provides to the other supported LLMs. I like Lumo for its privacy, encryption, and the ability to make "Projects." My bookmarks have stopped working. When I went to Edit Bookmark I found they are all empty. I can create a new bookmark as usual, but I have over 300 bookmarks that no long function that are very important to my work. Is there any way I can possibly restore them, as my work depends on them?

when I clicked on firefox icon today, bing browser appeared and I was not able to use firefox until I downloaded firefox again. I would like to restore the firefox I was using, I had several windows open and my passwords stored there. please advise

I am currently trying to set up automatic backups to a local network folder. I have set browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML and browser.bookmarks.file via the about:config page. This creates the backup on X:\bookmarks.html as desired, but only this one backup. Is there another way to create the backups with a timestamp and to keep to the maximum number via browser.bookmarks.max_backups?

I have checked that javascript is enabled and I do not have Ghostery or NoScript plugins. Interesting, the "support article" was hyperlinked and I could not access that either. (https://ds.tl/help-third-party-plugins, and the message is"server not found") I have rung Qsuper who advise me that there website is fine. Please advise any strategies. Many thanks in anticipation.

For the past 15-16 days, Firefox has been consuming extremely high memory.

The problem: - When Firefox first opens, it starts normally at around 300-400 MB - But after using it for about 1 hour, a single Firefox window grows to 1-2 GB of RAM - This keeps increasing the longer I use it (memory leak behavior) - Currently Firefox (41 processes) is using over 5,131 MB total memory on my system it's normal but after 1 hour a single firefox window grows to 1-2 GB of RAM

What I have tried: - The issue happens consistently every day for the past 15-16 days - Other browsers like Chrome and Chromium use much less memory in comparison

System info: - OS: Windows 11 - Firefox version: latest version 148.0.0.0

Please help me fix this memory leak issue. It is making my system very slow.

Tell me a working method of getting firefox to change my password so as to stop me having to sign in every time I need to use it. Worked before but doesn't work now.

I started using a new laptop and when I receive emails through Outlook, the excel attachments won't open and I get a message saying that I don't have the pdf software. These are Excell files, not PDF. I've tried all the suggestions on-line but they still won't download as Excel files, only Firefox files.

I am seeing pop up ads like these on the lower right corner of my screen since I updated to windows 11. I've never seen this with windows 10. Microsoft is telling me these are coming through my browser. These are not when I am in a web site and get the pop up to allow notifications, I always say no. These come @ 1 per week or less and I don't seem to be able to stop them. Is there a setting in firefox that will stop them or is this a microsoft issue? thanks brian

Since I upgraded to you, I am having trouble accessing important and medical info. I would like you to put every thing the way it was before. Easy access. You erraced some of my passwords, I want them back. I spend hours trying to find my info. I am 80 yrs old and do not need this aggravation. Thank you Moira

I have a problem trying to get the app PC Express past the sign in. The app is part of the yourindependentgrocer.ca app. I have used Firefox, Chrome and Edge and have encountered the same problem. I use Proton for my e-mail and I have used all their apps for my computer. I recently changed the start up app from judymk@protonmail.com to judymk@pm.me. I don't think this is a problem as Proton says the app should not care what protocol is used as it translates the same regardless of what app is used. I would appreciate any help with this.

The recent update changed how the mute button works in Firefox, before it would replace the icon and would show text and whatnot if it was muted or wanted to autoplay; now it just always shows the mute/unmute button in a tab playing audio. This would normally be fine but it is causing my tabs to constantly be shrinking and expanding whenever the audio changes in a tab, and it's really frustrating me and it feels like an overall far worse user interface design than it was before, even if people were complaining about it. Is there some sort of middle ground where I can set a maximum tab size or something? I know this used to be a feature in about:config but it doesn't exist anymore for some reason. I've also tried using a userChrome CSS code for it that I found online; it got rid of the button but it still made the tab size change and the code I tried using for maximum tab size also didn't affect that. Really starting to frustrate me! Please give me any advice I feel like I've exhausted all my options lol
