I had this Problem several times.

I have set my browser to restore the last Sessen when reopening. Sometimes i am a bit stupid and am not closing my main window with many tabs and my pinned taps for mail, contacts, ... which i regularly need

Aaaand sometimes the "Chronik" (History) for recently closed Windows is empty, nothing opens in the sub menu and i have to manually recreate all my pinned tabs. And this is super annoying.

Today i returned to my pc. I opened firefox and I have seen that only my window with youtube and video streaming has reopened and i failed to restore the important window because nothing appeared in the sub menu.

Maybe you can help me. I like firefok but always restoring my pinned tabs is super annoying.

Earlier today I changed my settings in "Privaty & Security" to "Clear history when Firefox closes". In that setting I selected to only delete "Browsing and download history."

I assumed this would just delete my browsing history from the URL bar, but now after I closed Firefox, it also deleted all my tabs!! There were many important tabs that I don't want to lose. But I also can't find them under 'recently closed tabs', and I also tried a solution from this forum, namely to find the recovery file and upload them to https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html -- but they don't contain my old tabs either!

Is there still something I can do to recover my lost tabs??

Firefox is my preferred browser, but, I'm sure most of us have encountered difficulties on certain sites, requiring the use of another browser. Currently, Fedex unusable in Firefox. Won't allow logins, etc. but works in chromium browsers.

But my actual reason for posting here is that I have a problem with Open in Brave Browser.

I used a method to move the Brave profile to a different location off of my my OS partition, using this command in The Brave Browser shortcut

"N:\BRAVE PORTABLE\brave.exe" --user-data-dir="N:\BRAVE PORTABLE\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data"

It works configured that way with the shortcut, but the "Open In Brave Browser" addon requires a "path to the executable, which is fine with the path you see in the image, but doesn't work with the modified path used to move the brave profile.

Is there anything I can do to make this work?

All of a sudden starting today when I hide firefox so I can work on documents the tabs I had open are all gone when I bring up the browser back up, I have gone to setting and history and there is no restore previous tabs button as all the fixes suggest,

How do I get this to stop, i have important sites open so I can go back to them and it sucks to keep having to restart and find data again.

I have no idea what happened but before the tabs started acting crazy, when I opened FireFox it was very, very small print that I had to resize with the 'Control, mouse up' move.

I recently switched from Brave to FF. An annoying problem is that whenever I click web links in external programs such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook etc Firefox always opens it in a new window instead of a new tab like Brave did. Also the window it opens does not have my extensions enabled, indicating that it is some form of incognito or web view window or something? These are my settings.

How can I solve this issue?

This is the second time fairly recently after Firefox was closed, and restarted I lost all tabs, perhaps 8! This is even with the Startup option, Open previous windows and tabs selected. I had some important websites on tabs and I lost them and using the history option, I was only to open one website and not the most important.

This is VERY poor operation and enough to cause me to want to migrate to a different browser.

This needs to be fixed without delay.

I have a couple of tabs open at the moment, and when the amounts gets too big I have to press an arrow to see other tabs. Is there a way to see all tabs at all times without having to press the arrow.

I'm aware of the search tabs button and function but that is not what I'm looking for.

I'd just like to increase the amount of tabs shown before they're relegated behind an arrow going either < or > depending on when it opened or where I placed it.

Thank you for any answers.

I've had Firefox since it's been around and not had this issue, I have a Mac with OS Monterey 12.6. Firefox is up to date and about two weeks ago with about 10 tabs open a tab crashed which probably hasn't happened in a couple years. I tried re-opening but it just crashed. I clicked the next and it crashed, then to the next and it crashed, etc. They all crashed soon as you clicked on them. I switched over to Chrome to see if I could even look something up because as soon as you clicked on anything with Firefox it crashed. I restarted Firefox and tabs just crashed. I let it sit and came back 8 hours later & all worked fine. A day later tabs started crashing again. On and off for the last two weeks tabs just keep crashing intermittently on Firefox and they only way to fix it is take a break and come back in an hour+. Then maybe a tab will crash and it will continue to work for a little while when you restart tab or maybe it will just crash as fast as you click Restart Tab. I currently have 2 crashed tabs and I'm surprised its letting my type this with a crashed tab, when I tried opening another, it just opened a crashed tab. I wouldn't doubt if it crashes in the middle of typing and I have to come back in an hour to finish. I can't find a solution on Google and if this keeps up, I'm going to have to drop Firefox as this happens throughout the day for work. Any Ideas what this might be? If you think it's a computer issue, I'll call Apple, but no solutions on Google make sense. Thanks for any help.

Note, these tabs are crashing on every site you can think of from Yahoo, Mail, Google, Facebook, Amazon, youtube, etc.

I was listening to a podcast on google podcasts, when I opened a link to a youtube video and briefly muted the tab that I had the podcast opened in. Once I closed the video and unmuted the tab with the podcast, it still is not making any sound. Other websites such as youtube are still making sound correctly. The podcast website's volume bar is NOT muted, I have also confirmed my windows 10 audio settings are configured properly still. So far to fix this issue I have tried: 1. muting and unmuting the tab again by right clicking on it. 2. closing the podcast and opening it in a new firefox window. 3. checking my windows volume mixer, which is not muted and shows no audio output from firefox despite the podcast playing (according to the progress bar on google podcasts). 4. clearing the firefox cache/cookies for google.com 5. signing out and back in to google. 6. completely closing and reopening firefox (I did restore session to keep other windows I have open, though). 7. unplugging and re-inserting my headphones. 8. looking through relevant support topics on this site. 9. Disabling my adblock add-on and reloading the page.

I'm hoping for some additional suggestions to try to fix this, I believe the above list shows I've tried all standard/obvious fixes, but maybe there is something I'm unaware of.

When you open a web site, a tab is created up top under the "File," "Edit," "View," etc. tabs. And, obviously, if you have more then one site open, they're all there. But this week I noticed that with the fourth tab, they stop being visible, and there's arrows on the far left and right. So if you have five or six pages open and you want to go back to the first tab/web site, you have to hit the arrow on the far left to make that tab visible, and then click on the tab.

So they went from one step/click to two, or three, or four! Sometimes I have to click around to find the tab I want. Also, there's times I just want to see if a site/tab is there. Now, I have to click the darn arrow and find it!

Why do they do this? If it aint broke, don't fix it!

I don't want it like this. At all. I want all the tabs there, without any arrows. Just like it always was. How do I get it back to what it was?

Hi, because I have many opened Bookmarks therefore I used very often in the past on the right side of the Bookmarks line the ">" signs for scrolling or the "v" signs for list all open bookmarks. Now, I miss them. The left one "<" for scrooling left is available. But if I use View > Toolsbars > Customize Toolbar, then I can see both signs. What can I do now to see them again? Specially the list bookmarks is important for me for quick navigation. I use the newest browser version 108.0.1 (64bit) on Windows 10

Where do I go to suggest this?

Suddenly today my browser had switched any current tab to the bottom of my window, but it also only lets me see one at a time..which means I can't see multiple tabs open unless I close the current one. My tab bar is gone entirely and was up-top as it's always been, just under the URL box.

I didn't hit any key combos that I know of that would cause this, and I can't seem to find anyone else with the same problem when I search for a solution. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?? It's very odd and annoying, I've never had it happen before now..

I took a screen-shot of the problem, showing what happens when I open a site or any tab:

Thank you very much for taking a look and any help with this strange issue,

-Chris
