The Firefox Translations add-on has been discontinued and no longer works. As a foreign language learner, I found it very useful to open the Firefox Translations popup, enter some text, and have that text translated locally. Is there an alternative that has the same functionality?

until the week before last, I was able to use the Shopify Store/ Theme Editor without any problems with Firefox on Windows (desktop). I disabled Ghostery and AdBlock, cleared the cache, am using the current version Firefox etc.

Without changing anything, I can no longer open the Theme Editor now– I keep getting the error message "there was a problem loading this page." Shopify support could not help and deferred me to Firefox.

A different browser isn't really a solution, although I can theoretically open the Theme Editor on Opera, for example.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this, and access my shopify shop theme editor again via firefox?! Thanks in advance!!

Hello 1) How can I stop Google pop-ups? Each time I open a homepage that requires a log-in, a Google pop-up is disturbing and presses me to log-in via Google. This is harassment. I do not want to be harassed. 2) Firefox support: Each time I would like to get an answer, that is what I want, when I ask for support, I have do a lot of work until I get the bottom to contact you. Time is money, for me too. Where is the direct button to ask? 3) When I got an answer from you, is there a way I can store my questions and your answers? I have just had to replace my PC following a bit of a disaster with my old one. The new PC has Windows 11. As usual I downloaded Firefox as I always use this. Somewhere in the installation of Firefox I must have been asked about blocking ads, but I don't remember. Now all ads are blocked, which I don't mind, but some sites are asking me to disable my ad-blocker if I want to use their site. Mostly I don't but there is one I need to use, so I would like to add that site as an exception, but I cannot find any mention of any ad-blocker in settings. Where do I find this? and how do I add exceptions?

The only add-on that I have in Firefox is the 'Privacy Badger' which could be the problem I suppose, but I can't see the website listed in the ones Privacy Badger is blocking.

Im entering the email and password i swear dozens of times every day...it never works right, ALWAYS need one or both lines filled in.  I DONT CARE IF IT DOESNT WANT ME TO SAVE THE PASSWORD. GOD KNOWS its NOT retaining it!  OK, im 75 years old. HAVE I LOST MY MARBLES?

Where possible I prefer to sign in using a passkey (stored on a USB key). I use a password manager for the rest, and have thus disabled password saving inside Firefox.

However, when password saving is disabled, Firefox will not prompt for using a passkey when inside a login field, this works when I re-enable password saving, but that leads to other annoyances.

Is there a way to enable passkey the passkey option without also enabling the password saving?

When I went to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/products/vpn/ and decided to purchase a Mozilla VPN prepaid annual subscription part of the reason was this "feature"

There is nothing easy when clicking on the download for the Mozilla VPN extension yields a message that the add-on or extension has been blocked. The explanatory link provided is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-ons-cause-issues-are-on-blocklist. That lets you know that:

"When add-ons violate Mozilla’s policies, compromise user safety or privacy, or fail to meet user expectations, Mozilla takes action. This may include disabling add-ons in Firefox to maintain a secure and reliable user experience. "

So, when will Mozilla stop violating Mozilla's policies so that the Mozilla VPN add-on is fit for use on Firefox v 149.0 [without free VPN] running on WIN10 64?

When enabling advanced user mode in uBlock Origin, a matrix of elements is presented when opening the dashboard. The matrix allows selecting either a gray noop or red block configuration. But prior to selecting noop or block, there is a black background. If neither noop nor block is selected, what is the black background doing?

What is the proper setting to create a persistent and customized search engine configuration that excludes all Wikimedia Foundation domains even after an operating system update or reinstallation? Is it permitted to manually manage a customized search engine?

I have been advised to utilize an add-on or create a dedicated profile.

What would be the most suitable solution in my case, and the one that will be the most effective and stable ?

It is unfortunate that mozilla-firefox does not appear to offer a 'blacklist' or exclusion list feature, as that would be the most direct approach to excluding the Wikimedia Foundation websites from the search results.

I haven't added a new extension in quite a while and can't remember how to pin it to the toolbar. I've tried clicking on settings and the ... icon, with the extension both open and closed, but can't find "Pin to Toolbar" anywhere. Can someone refresh my memory?

Recently I've had the Un-welcome experience of Scripts triggered on YouTube, which Over-ride my Installed extensions to Firefox.

I've had YouTube, somehow Disable extensions and refresh the webpage... Without my concent or even an option for concent!

I've even blocked the popup window, which triggers the script which performs this action within another extension... and within 7-10 days Youtube has by passed the bypass that i've employed...

In my opinion a web-browser which allowes for extensions to be installed and run... should Block any and All scripts which try to disable extensions!

I seriously hope this can be looked into asap... or someone in the community has a work around, as my work around (blocking hte window which triggres the script, which disables the extension....) was by-passed within 7-10 days...

I used to think myself a compettent net user, but i'm aged out atm... still if i'm unable to prevent this sh*t and manipulation within FireFox, I doubt the average user or the layman will have a chance in hell of being secure and keeping their chosen extensions running...

I would like to know how to erase them entirely since i dont use them and they are eating memory.

I recently discovered a problem with an addon I wanted to report. The product page only has an email support link, which opens up MIcrosoft Mail. I prefer not to use it.

Is there any other way to get the developers email address?
