Firefox used to have my background colors, and on the latest update, my pull-down menu and tabs are robin's-egg blue. I can't figure out how to get my colors back, and I hate that color.

How the hell do I get back control over my colors?

I was using the following CSS to hide the navigation images and show only text labels on the context menu for the Back, Forward, Reload and Bookmark Page menu options...

It worked up until a couple of versions ago, but something has changed, and my CSS is now broken, and those navigation icons are back.

My context menu now looks like the attached image below.

Any help with showing only text labels on this menu is appreciated.

I was customizing my background by loading a picture. It's adult in nature. It should be my computer in my in my private home. When something amazing started happening. If I load ANY image with a naked woman on it After a few minutes Fire fox auto removes it. I have done this 30 times. I use ANY fire fox picture it's fine stays there forever. Load ANY picture with a naked woman on it and poof 2 minutes later it's gone. So please can you explain to me why whats claimed to be the most private and secure browser around is censoring me in my own home about what backgrounds I can have? I find this highly disturbing. And I am quite serious I have had them removed at least 30 times. I'm 56 y/o If I want a naked woman on my background it should be my business not fire foxes. Also no chrome is not doing it. neither is windows. It's Firefox removing them. Any explanation would be nice.

In the latest update I got it made everything into rounded corners. The Tabs and Settings windows as an example. How do I undo that?

I checked thoroughly in the appearance settings and dont see a way to do that. I specifically switched my entire world over to Firefox to get out of the rounded corner UI world only in time for this switch to happen. How do i undo it?

Hello, Since the update on 24 June 2025, bookmarks are displayed in black text on a black background. Is this normal? If not, how can I resolve the issue? I had set it to dark mode, but even when I switched back to light mode, nothing changed. I would appreciate help from the community or Mozilla if anyone has a website address to contact them. I left my computer for a while, and when I returned and took it off screensaver I started going through my emails when I noticed that the bookmarks on the toolbar are missing. The toolbar is present, and I toggled between only show on new tab, never show and always show a few times, but they're still missing. I even tried bookmarking two webpages, but they were not added to the toolbar. As stated, I have the bookmark toolbar to always show. Firefox just updated yesterday, 4/8/25 to 130.1.0, and I'm pretty sure that they were there this morning, but I can't be totally sure. I noticed my computer had updates available, so knowing updating it would not have any effect on Firefox, I restarted the computer while updating so I could also restart Firefox with a bit of a delay. I had also restarted it twice before without any luck. The only thing I did besides updating Firefox was enabled the sidebar, which I then turned off and still did not have any bookmarks in the toolbar. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, but I may not be able to view and any responses or make the stated changes until Friday.

My monitors are QFD ( 2560 x 1440 ) and I use font scale 125%. With the most recent Firefox these fonts are garbled. They do not display properly. I am using MS Edge for the time being.

I recently set a custom background image for the Firefox new tab page (and possibly the homepage), but now I’d like to remove or replace it.

I’ve already tried:

   Going to about:config and enabling the following:

       browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabWallpapers.customWallpaper.enabled → true

       browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabWallpapers.ui.enabled → true

   Searching for a gear icon or any UI options on the new tab or homepage – but nothing appears.

I also checked about:preferences#home but there are no visible options to manage background images.

How can I remove or change the custom background image? I’d appreciate instructions, config paths, or a file location where I can delete the image manually.

Yet again Mozilla have decided that yellow folder icons are not needed and have amended the code so user chrome files no longer work. Is there a new way to return the folder icons to yellow or are we stuck with the black icons with a white frame?

Ever since an update to Firefox from a few weeks ago, I have been having issues with white backgrounds displaying incorrectly in Firefox. I have attached two identical images from the NYT homepage: the first is a screenshot from Chrome and the second is the same exact image but taken from Firefox.

I have also attached another screenshot taken in Firefox from REI.com. You'll see that it's not necessarily just a white background that is causing the weird blue color. It also happens in products images being displayed incorrectly.

I figured this might be a Firefox website appearance setting, but I have played around with it and selected many different permutations and I haven't been able to solve this issue. I have also tried refreshing Firefox, using Firefox in Safemode, disabling all of my plugins/themes, etc. and nothing was fixed.

I am pretty sure this isn't a system wide issue or a monitor issue because these websites are being displayed 100% correct in Chrome and Edge. This is only an issue in Firefox.

Can someone advise?

Hallo, ich arbeite gerne mit geöffneter Sidebar und bisher (bis Firefox-Version: 139.0 waren sowohl die Ordner der Sidebar, wie auch die in Ordnern abgelegten Webseiteneinträge immer in weißer Farbe (vor dunklem Hintergrund). Jetzt nach dem Update von Firefox auf Vers.: 140.0 ist der Hintergrund der Sidebar 'dunkelgrau' und die Schrift der Ordner und Webseiteneinträge sind in schwarzer Farbe, sodaß man diese nicht mehr richtig sehen kann; lediglich die Icon's der Webseiteneinträge sind in der entsprechenden Farbe/Logo der Webseite korrekt zu sehen. Liegt das jetzt am Update von Firefox 139.0 auf 140.0 ?? Die Sidebar war bis gestern noch korrekt und lesbar dargestellt !!

Some extensions, like Bitwarden or Notes, seem to have added their own shortcut icons between the settings cog and the other functions below the tabs, with seemingly no way to remove them? I already have them in my regular toolbar / extension overflow, which has much more space available, so I don't see the point of why there's duplicate ones in the sidebar taking away tab space?

These icons appeared recently in my Firefox browser I can't remove them. The only recent changes included uninstalling SuperAntiSpyware after finding that Microsoft PC Manager is a better option, which has performed excellently without issues.

Additionally, a free VPN (Proton) was briefly used from the Firefox browser without installation, but after finding it complicated to set up, it was deleted. A few hours later, I noticed the two icons as the windows were misbehaving and they are causing a slowdown in the PC's performance. They do not seem to be add-ons or extensions.

How do I remove the icons and return to the previous performance?

how do I change weather widget position to left side of Firefox homepage? It was always on the left side and I ran an update this morning and now it is on the right.

I am so tired of the stupid banner popping up every time I put something into full screen, that says "press escape to exit full screen".

Is there a way to disable that?

I am on a windows 10 PC.

Good afternoon. Yesterday I updated the Mozilla version from 135.0.1 to 136.0 and now the Firefox logo has appeared on the main screen (where the shortcuts are), thus reducing the size of the shortcuts and creating the inconvenience of having to scroll with the mouse, because before that everything fit nicely. Please remove the logo from the Firefox home page. Or tell me how I can return to version 135.01 without losing my data. This is very inconvenient, so much so that I decided to write to you for the first time.

It has always worked great until now, but it seems that it no longer works with Firefox 147.0.1. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
