This is outright censorship which is something fascists do.

Tell me how to fix your browser so I may access x.com again or I stop using Firefox forever.

Hello, about 1-2 weeks ago a very strange problem occurred - on some pages videos don't play at all or play without a sound. Can anyone help me with this strange situation? For example, every video on youtube.com plays without a problem; on facebook.com every video plays with no sound at all; on some other pages video doesn't play at all. This problem is only with firefox, if I try to open the same videos with another browser everything is fine.

Today while using firefox all my open tabs and windows crashed. Due to the situation, I had to restart my computer because everything was stuck. When it restarted I couldn't restore the previous session so I used various methods to restore it but I still can't restore the windows and tabs that were open today. I would like you to restore my session from before the failure today.

Every third or fourth website I open, I get the "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." error. if I wait a few seconds and hit try again, it works. Very frustrating and slows me down every day. Here is what I tried so far:

-Booted firefox in safe mode to make sure it is not any of my extensions. (This did not solve the issue) -Cleared cache time range "everything" (This did not solve the issue) -Made sure my version of firefox is up to date -Updated windows and restarted my computer

Some clues that may help you help me: -This issue only appears on my home PC but not my work PC or laptop -The websites I am opening work fine on other browsers.

Once again Firefox has decided to take over and change all my settings! I had finally managed to prevent it updating, as each and every time I had to reinstall all my setting and extentions from scratch. Today, it decided to clear all my preferences and change itself to its own default settings. OK, so I can change my profile option, except all three are using the same defaults: I appear to have lost all my settings and extensions entirely. OK, I'll copy from my backup, but once again the three backup profiles are being overwritten with the defaults. Even my third backup of last March overwrites to the defaults! How and why is Firefox managing to keep overwriting my defaults to its own preferred settings? How do I stop it doing this and regain my own preferences?

I also tried Sync and now I am getting bookmarks from over five years ago! And once again my settings are changing to the defaults. Surely a Sync should overwrite with the current bookmarks and settings not just keep adding more and more. I am now in a right mess again. Back to losing everything with updates. I am a great believer in the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' mentality, but Firefox has broken itself and is refusing to allow me to change to how it used to be! How do I restore my own preferences and prevent Firefox from changing them to what it wants.

Running Firefox 126.0, which Firefox' About link says is current. Dell laptop running (current) Win10 Pro.

As recently as last Wednesday (15 May 24), everything was normal. Since yesterday (16 May), on the Wall Street Journal site, after I have logged in, I no longer have access to articles' comment threads. The Show Conversation button shows 0 comments (which is erroneous), and when I click the button, it changes to Hide Conversation (which is normal), but nothing else happens--just white space and no comments or comment text entry field.

On Fox News, the comment thread doesn't display, and there's not even displayed a link to a comment thread. Until yesterday, the thread normally displayed, but required login to comment. Since yesterday, logging in changes nothing: the comment thread still doesn't display at all.

On X (nee Twitter), when I click the login icon, I get the usual login box--but it's solid black with only a rotating arrow signifying "loading." It never finishes loading. An added fillip: X, as recently as last Wednesday, displayed in its usual black text on a white background. Now it displays as white text on a black background. I can click on X links sent to me and get that particular X post to display, but I cannot log in.

When I go to those sites in Edge, everything behaves normally: I have access to comment threads, and I can log in to X. One exception: X displays as white text on a black background on Edge, also. This doesn't seem to be an X thing, though; on my wife's laptop (Firefox 126.0), running WIn11Pro, her X display is the "normal" black text on white background.

I haven't changed any settings in Firefox. I do have a couple of ad blockers, and I've turned those off, one at a time and both together; that had no effect.

How can I get things back to normal in Firefox?

I was having issues with my laptop so I decided to do a System Restore to a previous date. Once completed, I opened Firefox and tried to restore previous sessions, but none were found. I also noticed that the shortcuts were blank, possibly uninstalled. I clicked on shortcuts and nothing opened. I downloaded Firefox again and reinstalled, but now I cannot restore my previous sessions. I tried to restore going to History>Manage History>Import and Backup>Restore>Choose File and selecting previous.jsonlz4 and recovery.jsonlz4 file with a date from last month, but again nothing happens. I searched around for answers, but only came across instructions to compress jsonlz4 file and decompress using mozlz4 without any instructions on how to use it.

What else can I do?

Hi Firefox. I have been using Firefox since the 90's. I love the feature that you can save a url complete with that website name, icon, and colors. My desktop is very colorful. I just did an update on Firefox in the last two days. Lets just call it the last update. After the last update an hour ago I just received a notification that Malwarebytes blocked what the call Malvertising. As I said, I have been using Firefox since the 90's as my default browser and I have never seen this before on any browser. There were an few short periods in the last few months when Firefox would just lock up my pc, and I switched browsers to Chrome. But as soon as you corrected the issue, I switched back to Firefox. I got to admit that this Malvertising notification has disturbed me a little. I have Edge, Chrome, and Opera browsers installed as well but I like you the best. Please explain to my why I got this notification from Malwarebytes. BTY, Malwarebytes found a keylogger in my PC that Eset, and Windows Defender scans did not find. So, I am a fan of Malwarebytes as well. I downloaded the Malwarebytes notification of the Malvertising Notification into .txt format, but the button below this says images. If I can send it, and you want it, just let me know.

After reading just a few questions and their answers here I realize that I'm never going to learn everything I need to know to feel comfortable or even enjoy using my desktop computer. As for my cell phone, I've never liked using it and unless someone helps me learn how to use all the available features in Firefox (plus everything else in a smart phone which I call that stupid phone) then I will probably end up throwing it in the garbage and will sit in waiting rooms reading a book or magazine instead of doing whatever it is everyone else is doing on their phones. Most likely they're texting which I just learned how to do a few months ago. I never thought texting was necessary for me to know but now it seems to be the only way my adult children keep in touch these days.

How can I possibly learn everything I can or should do with Firefox? I barely know how to use all the basic features even though I've used Firefox for years. Your updates come so frequently that I will never be able to catch up! Why don't you offer some courses strictly for seniors who need a lot or even just a little bit of guidance when it comes to tackling technological issues? I dislike new technology but we have to use it, don't we? So, make life easier for us older folks and offer a few virtual courses to help us learn what we need to know. Come on Mozilla you can do it. You offer the technology now show us how to use it!

Whenever I close my browser, it will show but when i open a new tab, it is gone and when i check settings, it is unchecked. I tried enabling both Shortcuts and Recent activity but only Recent activity is saved and Shortcuts is not saved.

The Lower Toolbar is quite handy, with for example Roboform.

Unfortunately, the way it's implemented, it comes above the lower part of the browser window, instead of being inserted at the bottom while the browser windows height is reduced.

That hides the search box when you type Control-F.

It would be nice if this could be addressed in a future release. I am using Firefox Developer 127.0b2.

Recently, a PDF file/form I have used for several years won't accept keyboard inputs within certain boxes/fields. The PDF is an odometer statement from the Michigan Secretary of State. I am able to complete all fields except for the 6 separate odometer boxes. I can move the cursor to each box but when I go to type a number, nothing shows up. I have used Firefox in the past while completing this PDF form without any problems. I have tried filling in the odometer boxes using various versions of Windows (7, 8.1, and 10) and various versions of Firefox (126, 115, and 109), but none of them will allow me to enter the numbers. As a test, I downloaded Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, and both of those browsers allowed me to fill in the odometer boxes. I've included a link to the PDF form. I have enabled my new Theme but it keeps defaulting back to my old Theme. I have tried closing Firefox and opening new tabs. Opening a new tab also changes it back to the default theme. I have sent an image of the old theme. The new theme is Aurora Australis. And the second image shows this Theme enabled. What gives? Carl

when i fill in a form on a site (example cvs) it will not send and my saved payment information shows when i click into the field but will not stay- i must continually manually fill in my payment information
