A while ago (about three months), I moved my hard drive to a new PC with better parts. It has a better mother board, a better graphics card and twice the RAM. Anyway, since then Firefox hasn't worked the same. When i open Firefox, there will be random pieces of letters or words on a webpage just gone, making a lot of them impossible to browse because I can't read half of the the new Alien dialect on the screen. Some websites have been better than others, but its gotten to the point where some web pages (Like YouTube or Reddit for example.) will just be a mess of random de fragmented lime green blocks that completely corrupt the page and will shift, move and appear at random covering up text as I scroll down. Videos will play just fine, it's the rest of the site that's effed up. Also on YouTube videos, where the timer for the video is located, some of the numbers just won't show up. Like it will count down fine but won't display certain numbers in the timer. Funny thing is, is that this doesn't just affect the websites, but the browser itself. For example, hovering my mouse over different tabs will highlight them and show me the preview text of the tab. All that is good until I move over to a different tab and voila, the text is gone, and then suddenly all the other tabs are either blank or just missing random letters and numbers in the tab. This is only happening in Firefox btw. No other app on my PC is doing this. I've tried refreshing Firefox about six times now, I've uninstalled it three times in an attempt to fix the issue along with restarting my PC multiple times... All of that, and I find out yesterday that it works perfectly when in "Troubleshoot/Safe mode", and only when in Troubleshoot/Safe mode. I have no idea what is causing the issue... *PePeLaugh* 

 See, I would use another browser but I've been using Mozilla for 8-9 years and would like to avoid the hassle of moving everything to a new browser... I would VERY much appreciate any help at all.

 I'm running 64-bit windows 8.1 on the latest updates and my PC specs are roughly as follows below. I look forward to a response...

i opened firefox (v.95) and tried opening up my email and found that all my saved passwords were gone from firefox on my computer. it said i should crate a firefox account to get my logins back so i did and i still could not access any of my web logins. so i searched the help pages. opened up my profile n made a backup of my key3, key4, n loginjson files, downloaded v.91 firefox esr and copied my key3 file into a new profile.

so i still dont have my web logins ... n now i have an outdated version of firefox with none of my bookmarks either. im sick of troubleshooting n my wifi is almost out for the month.

how do i get my web logins and bookmarks back so i dont have to spend hundreds of hours recreating them?

I have a HP Laser network printer. I can print to it from everything except Firefox, my favorite browser.

Anytime I try to printer I get "Print Preview Error -- an error occured while printing".

I can print to a pdf, then print the pdf, but that is terribly awkward.

Is there a setting in Firefox causing a problem?

Some web pages displayed by Firefox are dull and unreadable e.g., https://www.vedantalimited.com/eng/investor-relations-shareholder-information.php#scheme_arrangement I have not made any specific display setting, have tested with default settings and also change of themes, but the same dull output. see attached screenshots. The same looks fine under other (Opera) browser

happens with other sites as well e.g., https://www.camsonline.com/

Firefox on PC. I had an icon on the toolbar for Google Translate, then a Firefox update came along and the icon disappeared. Google Translate as an extension is still there but can only be accessed using CNTLSHIFT keyboard keys. I cannot drag and drop Google Translate back onto the toolbar using Other Tools/Customize Toolbar or any other way I could think of. The curious thing is, I have another PC that I believe has gone through the same update process and the icon is still there. What happened?

Have played FB games for years but Hidden Express suddenly stopped working correctly. I have tried everything I can think of with Fire fox browser. Last effort was a refresh. Hidden Express technical support gave me suggestions which I have done but no help. Any suggestions would be great. Fire fox and Chrome are the recommended browsers or this game.

Since updating to Firefox 100.0.1 cannot print any web pages. Cannot print to a printer, or to FoxIt pdf printer. Printing in MS Edge works with no problems. I have cleared saved print settings - did not fix problem. Please advise. Thank you.

Hello, I have Firefox 96.0.3 installed as my default browser. Since late December I can no longer connect to MS Teams meetings as a guest. As in, I get to the waiting room and then the connection crashes out. Teams app no longer works which might be an MS issue. But I cannot connect via the browser connection using Firefox either. I think this might be a Firefox issue as Chrome seems to work. Any ideas? I see that other people have had similar issues with past version of Firefox. For me, everything worked just fine until the last couple of weeks of December.

After syncing because of lost passwords firefox deleted the bookmarks that were saved on the account. So I wonder if rstoring windows to a backup before I synced and reinstalled firefox the bookmarks data is restored as well in the backup which had firefox installed at the time with the bookmarks.

in the instructions to make Firefox my default browser it says that when you click on the Make Default button "The Set Default Programs window will open."

that isn't what happens.

instead I get a window headed: "Set Associations for a Program". this asks me to make choices about filetypes I know nothing about. four of them are pre-selected, so I click Save at the bottom right but this does not make Firefox my default browser.

what am I doing wrong?

"Sorry, the video player failed to load.(Error Code: 101104)" - this error message happens on some sites but not others. I believe there are more than one type of streaming transmission but do not know how to determine which is failing. For example, the streaming daily report on Democracynow.org fails while the reports on http://www.bbc.com/news/video_and_audio/international does not. This has been a problem for weeks now. I view both of these sites every day but must now use Microsoft Edge (ugh) to view democracynow.org.

I'm getting warning emails (2 so far) that windows 8.1 will no longer be supported after I think the end of this year and that I should buy windows 11. Since I use firefox exclusively, does this warning affect me? I'm not very computer savvy and am not sure what is the relationship mozilla firefox to windows (I think it's microsoft windows). I guess this computer has windows 8.1 but I'm not sure. Also, awhile back, microsoft edge showed up on my laptop but I've never even opened it, not even sure what it is. Not sure exactly when but I bought this Asus laptop but it's been several years. Thank you very much for any instruction and/or advice you may be able to give me. Randy Boone. I have just applied a firefox update, and I notice that I can no longer touch scroll the bookmarks dropdown menu with one finger, only with two. The single finger is set to select. Is there any way to change this and return to one finger scrolling of the dropdown menuu ? Thanks in Advance.

A friend used my PC and now whenever I have to fill in a form with my details their name always shows up above mine as a possible autofill option. How do I stop this?

My print preview is no longer available, and the new one is too small to see what's on the page. It's useless! Also, simplify page is gone (I understand "Reader View") is the work-around. Also, it's many extra clicks to get to my system print controls to print properly.

Solving the print preview too small would go a long way towards keeping Firefox usable. The other things could certainly use fixing, however.
