I keep getting these annoying "ads by Google" banners on the bottom of my screen. How do I make them go away permanently? Can I do this through Firefox settings or do I need to install a separate popup blocker?

Since Monday morning every site times out. My router says I'm connected to the Internet, but my VPN says I'm not. Other devices on the router have no problem, so it's not the cable or my ISP. For 3 days I've been tearing my hair out trying to find something in Settings, to no avail. Help??? I can go to websites but when clicking log in I only get a white page. If I go to my credit card I cn=an see my statement but when going to make a payment get white screen only. Retirement website loads but try to log in and get white page. Other certain sites just keep trying to load. My os is linux mint17.1 32bit system. Problem just started this year

I have the home page set up as Google.co.uk but now, my startup comes from http://vodafone.broadband/no-internet-connection-intercept.lp?url=google.co.uk/ saying that there is no internet connection. There IS an internet connection (I am sending this through Edge). My internet provider is Vodafone. How do I stop this appearing every time I open Firefox? Note: I have no problem with other browsers.

Hi, after upgrade of ubuntu to 24.04 i got into problems with using Firefox. I it running on x11 with proprietary nvidia driver, no matter of source package (snap or deb from the Firefox repository) and no matter of safe mode the Firefox gets frozen when clicking into any dropdown control in side page, the same happens when trying to open bookmark folder in the bookmarks panel or even the dialog that opens from the star icon in address folder that should add page into the bookmarks. When running on command line, in case of the snap version there are just some warnings of some missing css file, in case of the deb version it does not output anything suspicious. I was even trying to change the UI theme (qt) as well as GTK theme in case it makes any difference, but it did not... Thanks for any help.

Hello there, yesterday after the latest upgrade 115.15.0esr (64-bit) I found the pages it saves before a restart are not recovered. While looking for a solution, I noticed, all my extensions are gone, so all my settings, including saved password. Can you help? Best Regards

I experience a problem with the BBC.co.uk/Sport/football, various tab offshoots eg: "Gossip". The problem is that the requested page incessantly switches between Portrait and Landscape.

Does anyone know at what regularity the disconnect.me integration as part of the enhanced protection mode is updated please?

The company I work for had an update to the URLs on the disconnect.me side on the 21/08 and this takes affect browser side after it’s been updated by the browser code. But we can see that all URLs are still blocked, rather than some specific ones, with the enhanced protection mode so it isn’t reflecting the updated code disconnect.me have available

I am having trouble pinning any Extensions to my toolbar. When i click on the Extensions icon (puzzle piece), the Extensions menu immediately pops up. My extension (Bitwarden) is set to "Enabled". When I click on the three horizontal dots, however, the only options are 1) Remove, 2) Report, or 3) Manage. There's no option given to pin the extension.

Because of that, the extension basically never opens, and I am unable to use it. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks in advance.

I am running Firefox 129.0.2 (64-bit) in Windows 11 on a Surface tablet. FWIW, the extension is running fine in Chrome.

Recently, the icons for the sites I have on my tabs will only show the globe icon. The pages themselves load and work correctly, but the icons won't show up. (For reference, the website for the tabs in the image are for AO3.)

Using Firefox for windows. Have browser set to never save patient's addresses. After clearing cache/cookies on 9/4/24, Firefox is now asking to save addresses. The box to do so remains unchecked. Cleared saved data again, restarted computer and Firefox. Still asks. Do not want to save addresses for every patient payment entered. It is a HIPAA violation waiting to happen. Not to mention, the constant pop-up asking to save is a distraction from accurate patient care & data entry.
