When I pull up mozilla, I have a gray circle in front of the att homepage. When I go to yahoo, this icon doesn't change to the purple circle. The gray circle remains in the address bar before any website . -possibly only unsecured websites since I see that I have a picture of a lock when I was directed to this website. This recently happened and it occurs every time I pull up the browser.

The Site Identity Button has changed to protect users from hackers trying to "spoof" legitimate looking site buttons. The site icon will still appear on bookmarks and on tabs, but not at the left end of the Location/URL bar.

To restore site icons to the Location/URL bar, try the following new Add-on:

There is an Add-on to add some additional color to the new button

You are welcome, Angela.

In most cases, you can find the changes/fixes in Firefox versions by going to the following page and clicking "What's New" (just under the green Firefox Free Download button). In this case, it is listed as a "Changed" item on the "What's New" listing and there is a link there that will take you to 2nd link that I posted above, explaining the change.

Have a great day!
