Are you sure it was really a legitimate message? There are so many scams involving Paypal these days, you really have to examine them closely.

Anyway, according to Paypal, there is no more plugin since last September: THE PayPal PLUG-IN WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE - PayPal.

Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks that you should update.

You may need to remove the file NPSWF32.DLL in the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder
