Just installed FF4 and now I'm seeing graphical corruption and strange visual behaviour.
Pages render with text overlapping itself, graphics corrupted, etc. The page sorts itself out after a moment, and sometimes corrupts itself again while I am typing in an input box. Some text is shown slightly bolder than other when it's all got the same settings (even your troubleshooting list).

Update the video display driver to the latest version.
Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox 4.0:
- Tools > Options > Advanced : General: Browsing: [ ] "Use hardware acceleration when available"
