Also McAffee notification with all these popups stating that my McAffee protection expired yesterday - I have never had a McAffee notification for a virus or pair for protection from them. Popups are happening every 10 seconds continuously! looks like about 20 or more popups describing different problems with 20 digit numbers and letters as a serial number of the problem!

This is all fake. Try to turn off notifications, following this article -> Web Push notifications in Firefox.

No matter what I do I can not get rid of the McAffee that has attached to my Firefox. My Apps are showing 2 Firefox apps. When I right click to delete it, it sends me to the apps but won't delete. If I right click on the actual or real Firefox it will go to be uninstalled. No matter which way I

try I can not get rid the McAffee and it keeps telling me there are Trojans and infections on my hard drive and on Firefox. This my new laptop. I have never had this kind of problem before. And then after all that it opens a page to purchase McAffee and it will get rid of the viruses. It is very tiring to deal with. I'm a 77yr old widow and my laptops have always been enjoyable, not this time !!

Are these as small popups on bottom right corner of Firefox windows? If so then these are likely just web push notifications from sites you have allowed to send you notifications. Instead of useful information, some may send you junk, spam or fake virus/trojans alerts etc. You can revoke these sites from sending you notifications.

Like chtycat, I'm having the same issue. I followed James suggestion via the linked article, and the same popups continue. I first blocked the sites and then deleted them. I have little on this computer, and I don't want to block Google Calendar notifications. Does anyone have any other possible fixes?

I'll restart again, with the hope that this will reset everything back to normal.

UPDATE: After following the directions provided by James, and then restarting my computer, the popups finally stopped. Thanks! I'll make a suggestion that the steps listed also include restart, because without doing so following the other steps will not resolve the issue.

My problem is almost exactly the same but all of the notifications have "via ---------.flowsafe.co.in".

UPDATE: I followed James suggestion regarding the web push notifications. I went to the link and was able to correct the problem. Once saved, I restarted my machine and things are just fine. THANKS JAMES!
