Hi Mark, the menu is being redesigned. You should see one of the following:
(A) Old vertical style
When viewing a web page
New tab, Bookmarks, History, Downloads, Passwords, Extensions, Sync and save data, then a horizontal separator.
After you are signed in, "Sync and save data" changes to your user name.
(B) New wide style
The "Sign in" item is below the row of four buttons for History, Bookmarks, Downloads, Passwords.
After you are signed in, instead of saying "Sign in" it shows your user name.
Can you spot either of those?
