History and Password recovery
Hello Firefox, hope this email finds you well.
I am in a bit of a fix at the moment and would very much appreciate your assistance. The problem is I was using Firefox on my old windows account (same PC, new OS). Unfortunately my system crashed so I had to reinstall a new OS, with that I was not able to make any backups of history or passwords and I really need them, they are very important to me. I used this same email for it and I also have this same email on another laptop which is windows 10.
Please kindly assist me in this regard, I want my history and passwords back. How do you suppose I go about getting them, I am up for any and all verification to prove it belongs to me. I can list some websites I have accessed and saved its credentials and any other info you might need. I plead with you to help me get these back please.
Thank you, Patrick.

There is nothing more that can be done since everything was wiped clean and there was no backup. As to other laptop if it's no sync there no way to sync data back. So unless you have sync Firefox there is no data to restore or sync back to.
Hi Patrick, were you using Firefox Sync previously? You can check what data is in the Sync cloud for your Mozilla Account using the About Sync add-on:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/about-sync/
After you install the add-on, you can type or paste about:sync in the address bar and press Enter to load it. The page shows each category of data currently found in the Sync cloud.
There are separate sections for bookmarks and history. Anything more there?

Alright thank you will try this and see how it goes. So even for passwords doesn't Firefox save those at least for users?

When you sign Firefox into your Mozilla Account, it will Sync your saved logins to the cloud and then you should be able to access them on a mobile version of Firefox (or other desktop version of Firefox), too. But because these are encrypted on your device before being sent to the Sync cloud, Sync is the only way to recover them.
