It seems like the Square Stand works with the POS app but not the Appointments app. Since you've tried troubleshooting and contacted support, try these steps while you wait:
Update both apps. Reinstall the Appointments app. Check app permissions for Bluetooth and location. Hopefully, support will have a solution soon!
