Enter master password 3 times

I have just added a master password. Now, every time I start Thunderbird, I have to enter my master password 3 times!! The first time it happened, I thought I entered the wrong password 2 times (unlikely but OK). But I have now observed this behavior at least 3 times. And every time, I have to enter the password exactly 3 times. I have 3 email accounts; could it be that I have to enter the password for every account?

Any idea what's wrong here? It looks like a bug to me.
