Get rid of Activity_Stream
I want to get rid of all prompts to activity stream. I have disabled in about config https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/Activity_Stream
I do not have FF Nighlty and do not want this and do not want telemetry on either
No sooner do FF allow one to opt in to snippet garbage etc than they force this trash on people

What do you mean by "all prompts"?
You can disable sections of the Firefox Home / new tab page using checkboxes on the Options page, Home panel. This article has more info: Customize your New Tab page to hide or display content.
Your Firefox identified itself as version 72, which is no longer a supported version. If you are having trouble updating, please see: Update to the latest version of Firefox for Android Beta.
I updated. When i would click on my home page icon i would get an activity stream file to open or save. I do not know what that is about. I cannot recall type of file it was only a few kb. It appears to be gone since update
My home page is the default FF search and each new tab opens one. i do not want any pages visited or anything like that
Wow, Firefox definitely should not have asked you to save a file when clicking the Home button. I'm glad you were able to resolve that.
So is the Firefox Home / new tab page set up the way you need now or is there anything left that needs to be fixed there.
I hope it is fixed. i have spent 10 mins unable to log in here . it says account not activated.
what does no links mean i am not posting links

this forum is too complicated. i have to put the post in several tries as it said no links i was not posting links
When i was unable to log in it said contact admin. No contact details are given. So how to contact admin when i could not log in.? Far too many steps needed to jump through here. i do not have the time or interest
Hi OAKSFOX, a link filter was added recently but it's a bit overly aggressive in its interpretation of what might be a link. Any instance of text dot text (without spaces) is considered suspicious. Hopefully they'll dial that back soon.
Meanwhile, if you can post replies, you must be logged in, so the error messages are confusing to say the least.
i am logged in now. But the log in procedure is too long and complex. I have a short cut to here in my favorites. i should be able to log in two clicks instead of log in screen/username screen/password screen
I looged out and got back in .Actually 5 screens to log in it must be a joke
