Since reinstalling Windows I now have 'Your organisation has disabled the ability to change some options' in FF options. Tried the suggestions elsewhere here.
I've never seen this before, and if I delete the Mozilla and Firefox entries in registry editor as suggested in another person's query about this issue they just come back whenever I reboot. Also checked 'identity.fxaccounts.enabled' in about:config,it's already set to 'true'. In Programs it only has 'channel-prefs.js',nothing else. Any idea what this is about? Thanks.

hi, do you use avast/avg as security software on the affected system? since recently they use policies to configure firefox for the traffic interception feature of their web shield module... you can also check what policies are active in firefox, by entering "about:policies" into the address bar.

Hi,thanks a lot. Yes I do use Avast, and in "about:policies" there is only one entry,"C:\\ProgramData\\AVAST Software\\Avast\\wscert.der". Would that be something to do with it?
yes, that's avast importing its certificate used for traffic interception into firefox via policy (that's normally used for customization in enterprise environments, that's why you see the note in the options panel).

Thanks,so it's not a problem then? Should I just ignore it? As far as I can see it doesn't stop me changing any options that I normally change anyway. Seems weird though...there is no 'organisation'.
its saying the same thing with AVG now as well
