I was using Firefox developer edition for quite some time and as a developer i thought that my thousand passwords were SAFE in firefox cloud and all i needed to do is just login to my account. So, after deleting firefox for a "fresh start", i couldn't login to my account and i didn't remembered the password. I got myself a new password and poof, just like that, everything fcking gone, all my thousand passwords, bookmarks, everything gone. How can you do something so retarded without any kind of warning!? Fcking junior programmers even check and put warnings in their fucking code, not the biggest fcking browser organization in the world!!! RETARDS. And yes, i have fcking tried all of your bullshit methods for recovery, none of them helped.

Resetting the sync password, or changing its e-mail, will remove all data from the servers.

This is a security feature. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ive-lost-my-firefox-sync-account-information

  • I've lost my Firefox Sync account information - What to do
  • I’ve forgotten, or don't have access to, my Firefox Account email address

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

Because of this i will have to commit my soul to chromeshit from now on, it's stupid, it's not practical and it's NOT security if you delete everything from the fcking server. In "modern" times there can be Two-factor authentication to increase security, not delete everything a user owns just by a simple password recovery!

The password of the Sync account is used to encrypt all personal data including the passwords locally before uploading this data to the Sync server. Only this password can decrypt this data, so once you change this password then it won't be possible to access data stored on the Sync server. That is why you should always make sure not to forget the password. Note that Sync isn't meant to be used as a backup device and you should backup personal data locally.
