FF is my default browser. But when I click on url in live mail explorer is initiated. How initiate with FF

FF is my default Browser, but when I click on items (urls) in Windows Live mail and other programs most of the time (90%) Windows Explorer is initiated. This is more than bothersome, since all my passwords, usernames, etc. are stored in association with FF. How do I get FF to initiate when I click on url/site?

Hi Doug,

In the WIndows 10 Control Panel you can set the defaults to open with Firefox. Microsoft's support instructions are listed here

What you suggest is the standard fix. I have tried it many times over the last several weeks. In fact in you email when I clicked on your links they cam up in Explorer. I had to change to FF and login to respond to this.

VERY frustrating. I is a lot of extra work to use FF now. But I do not like Explorer.

Please help. I have tried so many thing suggested on the web but nothing works !
