When I am away from home, I can download my emails to my iphone 5. I want to be able to see these same downloaded emails on my home computer. I have checked with Verison and it is NOT their problem. They are telling me it is my em provider. What can I do to be able to see the emails downloaded to my iphone on my home computer?

is the iPone account IMAP or POP? What about your home computer mail accounts. IMAP or POP.

Who is the email provider. Apparently it is not verizon.

Matt: My home computer is set up as POP and the iphone is set up as a POP account. What I noticed last night: while I was away from home and the email program turned off on the home computer; I downloaded & read emails on the phone. When I got home & then turn on the email program on the home computer; those same emails downloaded. This has never happened in the past. Excede/Wildblue is our email provider. Is the solution having the email program completely turned off on the home computer?

Obviously your mail gets deleted as soon as you retrieved it from your iPhone. This is kind of default behavior for email, knowing there is a Retreive and a Delete command involved in POP. When accessing email from different locations/programs, you have to make sure the Delete command is left out for at least one of them, or you won’t be able to see it in the other one.

According to Wildblue customer FAQ, email will be moved away from Google starting July 2015. Their page describing the changes tell you there are some changes to POP settings involved, so you likely need to enable a "Leave messages on server" option on a web interface at Wilblue, similar to the option in Thunderbird as well as in the web interface’s settings of Google that was obviously enabled before.

Thank you. I will give this a try.

But for what you want to do, IMAP is probably better suited.
