Upgraded to ver 38.1.0 - now cannot read my messages in the message pane - blank SOLVED caused by older version of Conversations addons (bug 1174765)
Hi,
Last night Thunderbird performed an upgrade to Ver 38.1.0.
Upon checking my messages this morning I am unable to read any messages new or old in the message pane. It is blank?
Any ideas please.

It's odd that Thunderbird did not inform you a newer version is available. 2.9.1 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/gmail-conversation-view

What happens if you start thunderbird in safe mode?? See Help | restart
Hi Wayne,
Whilst waiting I found another thread that advised turning off extensions.
Luckily I only use 3 or so.
The extension causing the problem turned out to be 'Thunderbird Conversations 2.8.1'. When I disable this all is back to normal. I think that I can live without that extension but not without my email!

Thanks for continuing with this issue.
I followed your links and have re-downloaded the latest version of 'Conversations' (Ver 2.9.1.).
Now I have the 'Conversations' function back and I can read my emails. My Email life is back as it should be again!
