before the upgrade my screen was full, with the update there is about half inch of back ground color.

Upgrade from which version to which one? Provided officially or by the community? Which device do you use?

it was provided by firefox this past weekend.

I am very confused!! I have a windows 7 computer with firefox OS. Firefox updated the system over the weekend. it is not the same as before the update.

Firefox on Windows (and Mac OSX, Linux) is a web browser.

The Windows 7 you have is your OS. The OS is Operating System.

I know you are using Firefox on desktop now. Just that the replies you got was for a different product as you accidentally posted in "Firefox OS" and not "Firefox" for product which where I moved thread to.

I just suggested it may be best to create a new thread so it can be about desktop Firefox on Windows in replies from start.
