Yahoo keeps becoming my default browser (in both address bar and search bar), even after changing it back to Google repeatedly. How can I fix this?

Not even sure what started this in the first place, but out of nowhere, Yahoo has become my default browser for when I type search items in the address bar AND in the small search bar to the side. I do not want this at all. I prefer Google and always have. I've changed both of them back to Google repeatedly (by going into about:config and all that), yet every time I restart my computer (or even put it to sleep), it defaults back to Yahoo. Not sure what's going on here, but if anyone has had a similar problem and knows what's going on and how it may be fixed, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Why did you install the addon searchme?

That seems a likely cause of the problem.

This plug-in automatically redirected from some sites to a Yahoo search page entitled "DNS solution Yahoo error handler". Possibly just a bug, but like Old Rogue it took me a lot of effort to track down the offending article. Luckily it only took me three hours, rather than Old Rogue's whole day. Frankly, I don't remember installing this, and I can hardly ever have used it, if at all. It's gone.
