The bookmarks are replicating in a very random way. Folders and URLS links. Some folders are full of links, some empty. The bookmarks file got up to 45mb! I've disconnected and uninstalled and then reinstalled but the repeating lists are coming back and when I edit (delete) them, they return. I have attached the last crash report Firefox 37.0.1 Crash Report [@ appleffdav.dll@0xa26e ] ID: bp-6dbb53ad-3dad-46c6-ad72-6b6422150415 Signature: appleffdav.dll@0xa26e

Update your Firefox. The actual release is 37.0.2.

Thanks but that's not it, I am running the latest version on my Mac too and it still creates the additional folders and duplicated URL bookmarks. Is there a way I can log into the cloud version of my sync?

That is a problem with the appleffdav.dll that is part of Apple iCloud software. If you have the iCloud Bookmarks extension in Firefox the disable this extension.
