When sending emails, the progress bar will stop and freeze at 99%, to fix I have to resart thunderbird. How can I fix this?

Hello Matt, I've got AVG free, a 64bit windows 7. the other PC (32bit) in the office has no problem at all.....

Two possible fixes., related so please try in order and let me know how it goes.

Disable AVG email scanning and try again (a reboot not required but recommended) (Any Better?) (Re enable AVG) Run the DIsk cleanup utility from the system tools on Accessories on the start menu. (Any Better?) Disable the Mail scanner and try again (Any better?) (Any Better?)
