I solved it, but i don't know how. I created a new profile, started Firefox with this Profile (the Search Box worked), closed FF and returned to the old profile. The Search Box also works with it.

Hmm, are you sure it's not a ghost on your computer?  ;-)

Note that the Aurora and Nightly development channel builds get checkins almost everyday so therefore they get a update each of those days.

As a result the Aurora now called Developer Edition is not a stable everyday use Firefox as things can break.

Note that if you continue to use this build then (as usual) updates will likely be turned off this week until Friday or later due to versions on channel being merged/moved to next channel so Aurora can get unstable due to last minute dump of checkins. Firefox 35.0 is being released Jan 13.

Note that such issues can be caused by a problem with the search.json file.

Try to delete the search.json file and possible search-metadata.json and search.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder to reset the search engines to the default.

Firefox will rebuild the search.json file from the default search engines in the "browser\searchplugins" folder in the Firefox program folder and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.
