I can't tell if I have Mozilla 5 or Firefox 3.6. But it always says it is in SafeMode. How do I get out of safe mode?

There are no more details. Firefox is listed as being in Safe Mode and everytime it opens I have to request that it either open in Safe Mode or choose the settings I want and then start up Firefox, but it never retains the new settings and goes back to Safe Mode.
