I have been getting this error for about a week - absolutelyu no changes have been made to my usual use of the PC and browser. There may have been Firefox/Windows updates installed. I'm not doing anything different to the usual work I do.

I have tried using a new Firefox profile with no cached info carried over, this doesn't solve the problem. I have no extensions or add ons. I do run Avast, but haven't had this problem before.

NB: I do not usually get the opportunity to submit a crash report when these crashes happen.

After trying without success to access support from Mozilla and the firefox community. I uninstalled Firefox version 141 and wen back to version 139 - since then, no problems so it is a Firefox problem. The lack of support for such a ubiquitous browser is astonishing. I gather version 139 will not be supported at some point in future. I only know I've spent too much critical time this week on trying to resolve problems with their shonky software and don't intend to ever do it again. Next time there's a problem I won't waste my time and will just move off Firefox permanently.

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers.

Would I be right in thinking that you are using Avast antivirus? Looking at that crash report it looks like part of the Avast install is causing a problem. As a first step, I recommend that you update you copy of Avast.
