Hi Pete,
Are you possibly talking about Firefox desktop instead of iOS?
Well, I don't know the answer to that question exactly, just that I have Firefox in my Dock, and when I tap on it to open it, which I do many times per day, sometimes the Bookmarks appear and sometimes they don't.
I have moved your question to desktop.
A fix for this issue will land with the release of Firefox 139 next week. Please be on the look out on May 27.
