Wannan tattunawa ta zama daɗaɗɗiya. Yi sabuwar tambaya idan ka na bukatar taimako.

I would like to go back to Firefox 40.0.2 . 40.0.3 has ruined the functionality of eBay. Can no longer make bids or go to stores or even sign out.

Since I just updated to Firefox 40.0.3 I can no longer sign out of (or back into I imagine) eBay.ca or eBay.com. I can't bid on things. I can't buy things anymore. The links just won't go there now. I really want to go back to version 40.0.2 as it WORKED. What the heck did you do to this new one. eBay is useless now and I have a number of things that need to be paid for.

I was able to fix it by backing up the Mozilla folder in "Application Data" (which as it turns out I didn't need to do after all). I then uninstalled Firefox 40.0.3 and reinstalled Firefox 40.0.2. Now all the functionality of eBay is working again. Able to sign in and out. Buy things. Bid on things. I don't know what these small changes in the new version were but they TOTALLY SCREWED eBay. So I hope you come out with a better update that doesn't do that. I made sure my Java and everything else (Flash) was also up to date and it did not help. By doing this it is rather obvious that the update was the problem and nothing else.

40.0.3 only changed a few minor bugs in 40.0.2 (security bugs and crashes). There is no change that should break ebay. Please try the steps at Websites look wrong or appear differently than they should

Oh. And by the way I'm using Window's XP Service pack 3 for my OS. Don't have a computer powerful enough for the new versions yet.

None of that worked by the way.

Updating to 40.0.3 has caused a similar issue for me. Prior to 40.0.3, I could see all of the onscreen information for each of my outlook.com/onedrive contacts - all of the data in the fields was visible. Since 40.0.3, though, most of the text in each contact record is now not visible. To check, I accessed the same contacts using Chrome and IE on both this machine and another machine, and on my smart phone, and everything is normal. And before I installed 40.0.3, I could see the information in Firefox. Given the posts above, this is not a coincidence. We have a problem here!

I restarted FF in Safe Mode - the problem I described in the previous text remained.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

cor-el, thanks for the suggestions. I tried all of these to no avail. My 'invisible onscreen information in outlook.exe/onedrive contacts' remains. Again, this is related to 40.0.3 - did not occur in 40.0.2.

None of those helped me either. Only going back to 40.0.2 solved the issues. I guess I'll have to wait till the next update and see if it works. In the meantime, Firefox won't stop telling me to update. Update to a broken browser? No thanks.

I bought a new imac yesterday and downloaded version 40.0.3. I have spent a couple of hours today trying to get it to do the most basic things. I cannot import bookmarks, I cannot create bookmarks within the programme, it does not remember passwords even though it is set to remember them, it takles no notice of 'keep me logged in" on sites and it has no memory of sites I have just visited: every time I want to go back to a site I have to type the name in again in full. Other than that it is good - but completely unusable. I only downloaded it because I have very slow broadband speed, low download limit and Safari add ons have been gobbling web usage. Frying pan to fire comes to mind.
