In Firefox Developer Edition, I cannot select a tab with the mouse. How do I get it to recognize my mouse clicks for openeing tabs?
I recently decided to give Firefox Developer Edition another try because I was having some problems with regular Firefox for desktop. So I downloaded the 64 bit version of Firefox Developer Edition. I get everything set up like I want and then I open multiple tabs. For some reason though, whenever I try to select a tab with my mouse, it does absolutely nothing. As of right now, the only way I can switch between open tabs is to use Ctrl + Tab on my keyboard which is a huge inconvenience. In regular Firefox, there is no problem with selecting an open tab using my mouse.
I've tried signing out of and then back in to Windows. I've tried rebooting my PC. I've gone clear through the Firefox Options to see if there was something new added to the Developer version that I didn't know about concerning tabs but all of those things were a no go on fixing this problem. I think that if I can get this little problem fixed there's a good chance I'll stick with the Developer version but without being able to select open tabs with my mouse, even though it sounds insignificant it's actually a big thing. I don't always want to have to cycle through tabs using Ctrl + Tab or Shift + Ctrl + Tab just to get to a tab I want.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you explain the problems with the ordinary 32bit release that you may still have installed maybe we will be able to help with that.
For now the Windows 64 bit versions are best left to those wanting to test experimental features.
You could try the 32 bit beta as an additional browser if you want to see new features and fixes early. That would be relatively safe and probably trouble free. The problem is you need to do the custom install and setting up of its own separate profile yourself manually.
What are now branded as the developer editions do that for you.
Well, I don't know what the heck changed but it magically fixed itself. Also the theme of the browser changed at the same time. It's weird. I was sitting here doing work and the browser had the default darker theme going. I switched out to my text editor and then to Chrome to test something there and then I switched back to the Firefox and suddenly it's a white theme and I can finally select tabs using the mouse.
I have absolutely no idea what happened or changed but it's working so for now I'll stick with it. Even with that weird little bug I still like Firefox better than Chrome and of course better than IE.

Sounds like you switched to a different Profile in Developer Edition (aka DE).
The Developer Edition allows for 2 Profiles; a new Profile is created upon installation of DE. The "default" DE Profile uses a dark theme, and switching to a different Profile will display the regular Firefox theme - unless the user installed a different theme.
