Thunderbird Message Filters Here are the problems (nothing corrected in newer versions-since forever) Each time the app is closed and reopened, or Shutdown and restarted one or more of the following has occurred : “Message Filters“-main page 1) “Run selected filters on:” (folder dropped or changed) 2) "Enabled" Marks are dropped “Filter Rules” page 1) “Move messages to:” Folders are dropped Help! rb

all of a sudden, my deleted emails are not going into my Trash file. They are not spam. They are just emails I've already read.

Again, all of a sudden I have a Spam folder which I do not need or want. I want my Trash folder back and I want to be able delete my emails into that folder.

Right now, and this is new, when I delete an email it completely disappears.

I sent you a very detailed email the other day unfortunately I am not sure if you got it because I could not verify it because I think you sent me a code or something to the very Email I cant get access to.

clearly as a 68 year old man who knows nothing about modern technology things like this are not what you need I am also classed as Severely disabled with various illnesses from Diabetes and sleep apnea to Ulcerative Colitis and mental health problems.I also have CTS in both hands so trying to type this out on my phone is not ideal I am not having a go at anyone but I would have thought that with the amount of intelligent people connected to technology organisations that one of them would have thought about this type of problem and came up with a simple solution it's not rocket science if the main problem I'm having is not being able to access my email and have no other accessible other ways to confirm things to you surely a freely available freephone number from the country you live in to yourselves or if you yourselves contacted the person Directly preferably on their home phone but if not their recognised mobile number and asked them some basic security questions by firstly asking them for two step verification to their mobile (if they have one) likewise I am aware not everyone had either a home phone or a mobile (or both) because of various problems I have encountered with verification methods that are not available to me or might be but I dont know how they work then surely I cannot be the only one? under the 1998 Human Rights Acts and Protocols Article 1 Protocol 1 people like myself are meant to have protective status especially here in Britain where the 2010 Equalities Act is meant to give us added protection and certain rights all I am asking for is to speak to someone who wont talk to me using Computer Jargon and at least has some Empathy and Common Sense to help me get this Sorted I use Firefox and Mozilla because I Like what you are trying to do but if you are going to cause people like myself the exact same problems I and others like me may as well just not bother with technology because the Stress it causes me in particular is simply not worth it. Thank you for taking the time to read this Tomb and I really do hope you can help me because I have no other options left PS I cant follow written instructions if I could I would not be in the position I am in Hence the need to speak to someone and not a Robot Thank you

I apologize for the subject line, but there is no better way to describe the problem....

I've been using Thunderbird for a few months now and it has mostly worked well. Then this afternoon I was reading my mail in the Unified Inbox and I noticed something very odd. I had a number of emails showing in the header list with the same "From" and various subject lines. On the face of it, that wouldn't describe any weird behavior except that I noticed the subject lines absolutely didn't match the "From" information.

As I would go to read these emails, the email itself would be correct in the preview pane -- including showing the correct sender name and email -- but the "From" information in the header list pane would still be wrong.

I'm sorry that I can't post a screenshot to make this more clear because there is just too much personal information on screen. But these emails are from several different senders, received by several different email accounts. Everything is correct except that the "From" shown in the header pane is wrong. This is very obvious to me because I normally run entirely in the Unified Inbox with the emails sorted by the "From" information

One example is an email that is actually from "U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs <do-not-reply@notifications.va.gov>" which Thunderbird displays correctly in the preview pane (where I usually read my emails) and if I open the email itself, but the header pane says this email is From "Prepper-co <joshua@prepper-co.com>"

Another example is an email that is actually from "USPS Customer Support <uspscustomersupport@usps.gov>" but the header pane says it is from "Rainier Arms <sales@rainierarms.com" < p></sales@rainierarms.com">

These two examples were received in different email accounts that aren't even on the same server. I have other emails from these same senders that are shown correctly

I found this problem while using 150.0 (64-bit), which said 150.0.1 was available, so I restarted Thunderbird and it updated to 150.0.1 (64-bit) but the problem is the same.

Had one account. Imported perfectly. Added another, only Inbox and Trash added (later Drafts when I composed a new email)

Where are all the account folders ?

I changed Google accounts from mine to my husband's so that I could find a certain email. Finished and signed back into my Google account. Shut everything and went to my Thunderbird. My entire inbox of emails for my gmail account were not there. Why would I lost those if I was not dealing with Thunderbird, but Google online?? Google online only shows those emails that I haven't downloaded to Thunderbird. Google online did not show my current gmail Thunderbird Inbox, yet it's gone from Thunderbird. I'm sick about it... prescious emails lost. Is there any way to retrieve my Inbox?

I have been using Thunderbird for about 15 years. I use POP3 access to download a copy of each email into Thunderbird, and then use filters to move emails from each of multiple accounts into a subfolder under local folders. I have one account which is no longer active, but all the emails were still stored in the subfolder. Today, I went to look at the emails in this account, which hasn't been looked at for at least 5 years. When I clicked the subfolder to see the emails, I got a popup window which looked like an OAUTH access window, not the list of my stored emails. I'm afraid I didn't pay much attention to the popup window, I just closed it so I could try again. When I closed the window, the subfolder disappeared. I have no idea how to get it back, since I still want to keep those emails. Does anyone know how to get it back?

Have been using Juno Email Accounts for past 10 years with Thunderbird Email Client Program for downloading Emails off the cloud. It is now more difficult to make contact with Juno for Tech Support. To do Email one has to have an Email Address and Password ... THEN they need the Incoming Email Server with the Type of server ( POP, SMTP, IMAP ) . Long Story Short it is now Impossible to Install Mozilla Thunderbird onto Win10 Machines.

SIMPLIFY THUNDERBIRD IT IS EXCESSIVLY COMPLEX. I CANNOT EVEN SEE HOW TO MOVE MESSAGES FROM THE INBOX TO THE RELEVANT FOLDER IN MY LIST. I PERSONALLY BELIEVE FIREFOX AND THUNDERBIRD ARE OVERCOMPLEX AND NEED SIMPLIFIED. SIMPLES. WHY CANT I COPY AND PASTE THE VERSION NUMBER. BLOODY ARESHOLES . AS I SAID IT IS BLOODY OVERCOMPLEX. AT THIS POINT I AM CONSIDERING GIVING UP ON WHAT IS CLEARLY AN OVERCOMPLEX PIECE OF SOFTWARE THAT REALLY DOESN'T LOOK GOOD EITHER AND THERE IS NO OFFICIAL SUPPORT SO WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR AN ALTERNATIVE. Dear Sir or Madam,

I have lost all stored folders with my email correspondence from the Local Folders for an unknown reason (I restarted my computer, and they disappeared). I can find some of these emails using the search option, but I cannot see the path of their storage location. I have checked my Profile/Mail/Local Folders, but they are not there. Are they stored on the server? How can I recover these folders?

I had issues two weeks ago with my emails being full. They added more space and one of my coworkers emails started to go into my Spam folder. Then today they showed up in my inbox and after I read them they disappeared completly. Right after that every email since he started with us last year disappeared off my inbox. I need customer support to call me to fix this. [edited phone# and email from public]
