About 2 months ago, I had a very useful exchange with Lin regarding backing up my Thunderbird data; I wanted to look at the exchange again, since I apparently failed to save it externally; Is there a way to access that exchange?

I rather doubt the veracity of this, seeing it includes “I can see the full list of your contacts from your phone and all your social networks” — since I do not access the Internet from any telephone.

It has been several years since I’ve received something of this sort, so have remained confident that my system(s) remain well-protected. However, since the message did arrive in one of my email accounts, is there still the potential of my contacts list(s) being compromised, and, if so, how to safeguard against that?

Hello. I need to reduce size of my email folders - specifically gmail. I am trying to delete a large series of attachments, while keeping the original email. SOMETIMES this works, but sometimes it does not, and then I am stuck! Any ideas? THanks.

The method I formally used (Ctrl+) to increase text font size is no long working nor is Ctrl with mouse scrolling, nor is any other options I've found in settings. The font size on header and side bars is increasing but not the text of emails.

My email, which was formerly with Comcast, now has Yahoo Mail as its back end. Yahoo Mail allows remote contact, and when I logon to my browser, it displays all the photos inline . In Thunderbird, it does not, and collects them as attachments at the end. I have set Thunderbird to Allow remote content ... and have no exceptions entered. I've tried different formats, including Don't allow ... with the photo stream as an exception, but that doesn't work either. The Don't allow option displayed the yellow banner etc -- on practically every email I received -- including a login to Mozilla!

I really dislike Yahoo Mail, so am hoping there's a Thunderbird solution so that I can see this email every week. Thanks, Chris

In the last month or 2, when I delete an email it does not show in the trash folder. I can wait from 5 minutes to even the next time I reboot my puter to finally see it it trash. Sometimes it sends it to the all mail or important folder instead of trash. And if I delete from there, it still takes tons of time to end up in the trash folder...if it even gets there. This seems to be getting worse by the day. I have clicked repair folder, no change, I have cleared Thunderbird's cache, no change. It's also now taking way too much time to load an email that contains a picture. This happens with at least 3 of these gmails. I'm at a loss here and extremely frustrated and about to change these gmails from imap to pop. win10 and TB is up to date. But it doesn't compact folders as much as it used to either. Any help appreciated

Thunderbird version: 153.0.3 (64-bit), Meadow, release channel, fully up to date.

I can successfully insert my local PNG into a composed HTML email, tick “Attach this image to the message,” and add a hyperlink to the image. The hyperlink works when the email is sent.

The problem occurs when trying to use this permanently as the account signature. HTML signatures I've tried either lose the image, show a broken-image icon, or fail to preserve the clickable image when used automatically.

I have also tested an HTML signature using a local file:///C:/... image reference, which produces a broken-image icon in Thunderbird.

I do not want to host the image remotely. I want the PNG embedded in the HTML/signature and sent with each email.

Can you confirm the correct method specifically for Thunderbird 153.0.3 on Windows, and whether there is a current issue with embedded/Base64 images or clickable image signatures in this version?

I'm getting Spam Emails from about 10 regular Spam Accounts and I wish to Universally Block them by adding Them to my Filtering Lists. I'm using the * Character as a Universal Place Holder for the *@*.com, *@blah.blah.ca or com. The Filter works one Time then stops working for any fresh Spam. In other words, the Filter doesn't Filter any new Spam from these Addresses. Why?

Thunderbird downloads new emails for all my emails except one. Has not downloaded on that one since July 3. Have reset various background settings to match other email accounts. Running on Windows 10. Suggestions?

Using the same settings as my main account: imap.gmail.com SSL/TLS 0Auth2 Tried copying in same local directory as one that is working. No idea what all these do...

Hi David This is the last attempt I did but it failed. Enclosed is the screen shot you have asked for. Keep in mind my WIN 10 has 64 Bit but the last update from Thunderbird was 32 Bit

Thunderbird running 70-80% CPU with status bar showing. Once status bar is removed this drops. Have noticed some bug reports mentioned Linux but I'm on Windows 10 ESU (up to date). Updated TB to 153.0.3esr but no improvement. Tried troubleshoot mode but no improvement. Also noticed that emails aren't getting moved to the deleted folder from inbox. Checked today and none had been moved for 3 days. I deleted some of the older ones from 'Deleted' and then it did update.

all of a sudden, my deleted emails are not going into my Trash file. They are not spam. They are just emails I've already read.

Again, all of a sudden I have a Spam folder which I do not need or want. I want my Trash folder back and I want to be able delete my emails into that folder.

Right now, and this is new, when I delete an email it completely disappears.

All folders for email are working correctly except Business messages. The server shows 23% full, but the messages are not downloading. I have checked all the connections, and the incoming and outgoing servers are accessible. There seems to be one connection which is not set for Business messages, but I cannot find a solution
