I have three email accounts on my computer, one IMAP and two POP. I need to move these accounts to a new Windows 11 computer. I want all of the accounts on the new computer to be IMAP. So I have two POP accounts containing messages that I need to move to IMAP accounts on my new computer.

When I open the profile folder on my current computer it has a MAIL folder and a ImapMail folder. The MAIL folder contains a Local Folder and a pop.1and1.com folder. Each of these subfolders contains the Inbox, Sent, Trash etc. folders that contain the email messages to be moved to the new computer.

I see lots of information on moving the profile but that doesn't address the POP to IMAP conversion issue or the fact there are three different accounts involved.

Aloha, I have been using Thunderbird since decades. Since a few weeks (or even months) by now, it is hanging all the time. Meanwhile it is totally impossible to use it properly. Whenever I klick on something it hangs itself up and I have to wait at least a minute until I can click something else and then it hangs again.

I already tried reinstalling, but that didnt change anything. Of course I also rebooted the computer.

Why is that so and what can be done?

I am trying to change my Thunderbird password which I have forgotten but the settings page needs it to reveal saved passwords, which is a catch 22. Do I need to remove it in order to replace it with something that I can remember or is there another way to fix this?

created event then about a week later edited event for much later in day, neither was done using thunderbird. Now reminder for event constantly shows for event in original form. Cannot do anything else, have dismissed event but reminder returns after past event. Deleting event does not stop reminder in TB. Event still shows original in calendar, edited version missing. No way to resync to remove, events added after do not show up.

To whom it may concern,

My manager is having issues with the drag-and-drop feature in her Thunderbird account. One of her most favoured features is being able to drag emails from the inbox section of her email account into a designated folder. However this feature seems to have been disabled or is unresponsive for her.

Additionally she is getting a notification which says "Not enough disk space' We have a team of administrators who assist with inbox management and clearing of spam and junk however due to the busy nature of her work she receives hundreds of emails on a daily basis. How would she go about increasing her disk space? And are these two issues related?

Recently saving draft emails has become an issue. No longer functional in automatic or manual mode. See attached image for details.

Similarly, automating and rules guided saving copies of 'sent' emails have failed.

No changes have been made to these Thunderbird components.

Attempted to repair the 'drafts' folder did not help.

Any assistance welcomed.

I am running on Linux. I keep downloads in ~/tmp/ and documents in ~/docs/

Both Thunderbird and Firefox are configured to save downloads/attachments in ~/tmp/ (and they do) but still when either application is started it will create a Downloads directory and occasionally also Documents. I'll delete these directories, but every now and then something triggers their creation.

What am I doing wrong? How can I stop this behavior?

If I send an email to my wife's or my own email address, I don't receive it. If I send an email to the same email addresses from my Gmail address, it arrives at both addresses without any text enclosed.

I can't send emails from Thunderbird. Get this message: "Sending the message failed. Could not communicate securely with the other party, no common encryption algorithms. Configuration issues regarding need to be fixed."

I have a very hard time figuring it out and hope for help. Preferably in Danish.

I have recently gotten a new computer. I have downloaded thunderbird to it. My inbox says there are 70 messages unread but only the ones received today are showing. I don't know how to see the rest of them. Wayne Rousseau

I have a email folder that display the name and contents in the main window (Name, 6 messages) but there are no messages visible in the window. I had tried to separate the thread but something went wrong and now any mail that I move into the folder disappears. Where are they and how do I get them to display?

In the past I've always been able to restore email subfolders and the emails in those folders to Local Folders by copying over the files from the profile directory of a previous installation under Mail/Local Folders

But I'm trying it now on v. 128.6.1esr (64-bit) and it no longer works.

e.g. I do the following with TB closed: $ cd [old_profile_dir]/Mail/Local\ Folders/ $ cp -r Archives* Sent* Templates* [new_profile_dir]/Mail/Local\ Folders/

When I reopen neither the emails nor their folders are there.

If I try creating all of the relevant folders from within thunderbird, then closing it and copying over in the same way, it similarly seems has no effect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I get a reasonable number of TEAMS & Zoom invites by email into my Firefox account.

I have 2 questions ...

1. Can I add Google Calendar to FireFox Calendars ..... or vice versa ... so I can add an invite to FireFox calendar and have it show in Google Calendar.

2. Currently if the invite includes an .ics file I can import that into Google Calendar ..... clunky, but works. However many invites do not include an .ics file ..... as the invfite has arrived in FireFox .... can that generate an .ics file ?

I need to use Google Calendar as it provides cross platform support of multiple calendars.

I have a folder on my desktop labelled "Local Folders", which contains the emails I have put into seperate folders. My Thunderbird start page does not show those folders in the Folder Pane on the left. It only shows folders like inbox, trash etc. Can anyone help?
