I had have an iPad Pro running the latest IOS 26 and Firefox Focus. When I fire it up, if I have my keyboard attached, the cursor appears briefly for a second and then disappears. It’s like the cursor focus leaves the URL area of the browser.

If I disconnect my keyboard, I can click in there and use the on screen keyboard. Once I do that and enter anything [and hit enter], then it will work from that point. So this appears to only affect initial use of the app. I can click up there and type anything after that first submission and it works.

Searching firefox support for “how to search firefox settings” only gives links to changing search engine. I want to find where a specific setting is located without looking thru every category. IOS.

When I follow directions to add Startpage search engine I get, that URL does not work. I tried this Https://startpage.com/sp/dsearch/?query=%s

Google is the only search engine that will open a page. When using Firefox iOS to search, find your way back to a better search engine (below) appears after downloading the app. It seems to be in a loop that will not allow me t open any url. I believe my phone has flexispy (or some kind of spyware) downloaded on it and this is one search engine that it possibly cannot track, so it doesn’t function at all? Could this be the cause of this continuous loop that sends me back to download the app?

I’m switching to Firefox from Google. But I use Google lens for identifying things. I don’t know about. I wondered if Firefox has a Google lens or similar utility?

Hi I keep getting an error message saying “complete the form correctly” when I add the web address for https://www.ecosia.org/

I don’t understand the reference to the sample YouTube link but imagine this is part of the issue??

Basics = Iphone 11, Current ios and fresh version of Firefox, as of 1/2 hour ago. Today is Feb 26, 2026. For the past 2 weeks, my Firefox search engine has been hijacked by a Google search engine. I can tell bc of the tiny round icon that is displayed at beginning of line where I enter my internet query. I just now downloaded a new version of FF, restarted my iphone11, and am still having the Google emblem showing at the beginning of search entry line. I do not want to use Google for anything, if possible. BTW, all of my internet access is via my FF app on my homepage. Are my searches still “safe” bc I am first accessing FF icon on my home page then secondly accessing Google to do my searches? Thanks so much. 🌷
