Desktop version update to 157.0.1 acted like a fresh install. Prompted me to import from previous browser. Firefox was my previous browser. I have my bookmarks backed up, but lost all my tab groups, which is a huge problem to try and recreate. Lost downloaded themes. Lost downloaded extensions. Why did this happen? I can't imagine it was by design.

Greetings, I am on the spectrum with aspergers. I have issues with organization, lining up objects, etc, but I am highly intelligent and present well. I have no doubt society is aware of all the tropes that surround folks with my......difference. I have an incredibly hard dealing with change, and it sometimes wrecks my mental health. The changes are constantly throwing my health and welfare for a loop, and it is really harmful.

Everytime I get firefox setup to where I am comfortable, something new gets shoved down my throat. How to stop the constant feature change diarrhea abuse is inflicting on my health? Recent example. I only use 2 search engines, and I cant deal with the rest, its a colour thing sorry. I have had my search engines set up like this for 14 years.

Recently, firefox decided that I should go for another life rollercoaster, even though I didn't ask for it, and that I should permanently have things like history bookmarks tabs and actions as search engines, and they shouldn't be removable.

I don't have a history, as I value my privacy. I don't have bookmarks, because I remember everything and it sucks, and I type about 350 wpm. Tabs information is within history, so I see firefox as duplication idiots in this case, and I don't do any actions, not even sure what they are and I really don't care at all.

My parents are considering a lawsuit against firefox for accessibility issues like this, as 1 of my dad's best friends is an accessibility lawyer.

How can i stop firefox from constantly flipping my autism world upside down? I don't want my parents to sue them because it will bring a lot of attention on me.

Please help me re-normalize the internet for spectrum users.

I know that I can change the appearance of Firefox with themes. I am currently using a light-colored theme called Elemental - Soft. Even still, whenever I go to print something or look at my history the backgrounds are black, which makes them hard to see properly. I have tried using the default theme in Firefox but this problem still exists. I'm using no other extensions or plug-ins to make my browser do this.

Second, is there any way to get rid of the purple highlights around boxes such as the ones in the print dialog screen? I really dislike this color.

I have done everything I can find to get my Firefox bookmarks menu working correctly in Windows 11. Every time I shut down and come back they are not working and I have to do a restore. The bookmarks are there but they are dead, inactive. I can do a restore and everything is happy, until I shut down and log back in.

I've done 2 clean new installs including deleting all the folders and files.

I've also done deleted remaining Program & Profile Folders (For a True Clean Install)

Könnte es sein, dass es einen Zusammenhang gibt damit , dass ich vor ein paar Tagen ein Antivirusprogramm von Avast heruntergeladen habe, nachdem ich seit Monaten dazu von Avast genötigt wurde, da mein Laptop angeblich schwere Probleme aufweisen würde. Beim Online-Banking hatte ich vor Wochen ein ähnliches Problem (das war allerdings noch vor dem Herunterladen dieses Antivirusprogramms), dass meine Zahlungen nicht verifiziert werden konnten. Nach Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Service der Bank sagte man mir, dass ich einen anderen Browser benutzen solle, da Firefox angeblich Sicherheitslücken aufweisen würde.

Hello, I'm having trouble using the built in VPN, once I press on it and do everything (connect with my account etc) it doesn't let me use it, it still tells me to do everything again. I was wondering how I could fix this issue and use it.

I've not been able to use that site for a long time on Firefox. There's something particular about Firefox. Chrome works fine. Reinstalled a few times, made sure no VPN is active in the browser (I dont use one). And posting results in "Posting from your IP range has been temporarily blocked due to abuse [More Info]. Please verify your e-mail address or try again later. ". Every single time. Rather than stop using Firefox I hoped someone here would know what's going on.

Hi, I'd like to remove the rounded corners ( they are too big) everywhere in the Firefox browser. The suggestions I've found online aren't helping me. Do you have a solution for beginners?

My browser constantly tries to guess the language of web pages and offers me translations. These functions get in my way, I don't need them. How to switch off any translations (and translation offers) forever for all sites?

I've tried troubleshoot mode and the problem remains, I have no idea what I did and I've spent a good hour of research and found nothing to help with my problem, I'm at the end of my witts. The problem is most visible with google docs, but it goes beyond, like these huge lines in the corner of boxes like the one I'm typing in now (see screenshots).

When searching inside a webpage the color of the item found hardly distinguishable with my theme. I tried to modify the ui.textSelectBackgroundAttention parameter of config. No results. The color stays the same old one.

This problem exists for me, in FF 157.0, FF 157.0.1, and FF 159.0a1

I 'always' save my edited images to my desktop, prior to uploading them to a website. Doesn't matter what image editor I use.

MY problem is "uploading" those images to TenForums and ElevenForum. The upload dialog, before FF 157.0, would always look on the desktop for the image I wanted to upload.

Since FF 157.0... if I save anything to any drive, and then try to upload an image to a website like ElevenForum, the upload dialog will look for the image(s) on whatever drive I saved something to.

Workaround: I restart Firefox AND browse once to my desktop, where the image is located. Then it looks on my desktop every time for images I want to upload... ...UNTIL I save anything to any partition on my drives, then MY problem returns.

I see this problem when uploading images to elevenforum.com and tenforums.com Drag & Drop (in 11Forum), works fine, probably because when I drag & drop I'm declaring the file path automatically. I only see the problem in... Attach > and the upload dialog

This is very hard to explain. I export my bookmarks to F:\Bookmarks After doing that, instead of looking on my desktop where the images are, it looks for them in F:\Bookmarks.

If I save anything (like a text file), on any drive/partition... when I try to upload an image on my desktop to ElevenForum.com the upload dialog doesn't look for the image on my desktop.

I don't see this issue on FF 156.0.1 or any version before FF 157.0

too many problems with web pages not working. every [expletive] day there is more updates. stop [expletive] updating this piece of [expletive] daily if you dont fix anything! im sick of [expletive] problems and updates that dont fix a [expletive] thing..

When uploading photos, Firefox is not Showing the last folder used. Normally, when uploading a photo from a certain folder, the next time you do that, the same folder shows up unless you choose a different one. Now, it keeps going to one specific folder even though I uploaded from a different folder previously.

Example: say I uploaded a photo from my folder "sympathy pics". Then I upload a photo from "my documents". The next upload pop-up box still pops up the "sympathy pics" folder when it should bring up "my documents".

Can someone please help me?

You guys are doing really good. BUt I'm going to have to say- If it ain't broke don't fix it. Why change the shape of the grouped tabs icon??? Without having even a option to change it back or to something else entirely. Was there someone specifically asking for that appearance update? Can we as users have an option to not have that unpleasing, google-reminiscent* shape set for the grouped tabs? Please?

I am trying to change my default search engine to Firefox and it isn't allowing me. What could be preventing this? and how do I get around it? Thank you in advance for your help.
