History drop down-Restore Previous Session MENU OPTION AND Recently Closed Windows MENU OPTION tab choice ARE DARK!!! Not active!!! Why? (If they are there to be seen they should always be active for use)

I use these ALL THE TIME!! Where is that function??? Why is MY history from yesterday NOT there for me?? I need it right now!

My life is busy and stressful enough without Firefox or Apple or Microsoft adding to it!!!

btw am waiting full 5+ min for a simple screenshot to "upload" to Firefox help below so I can hit send on this?? Still see the word "uploading" - are you finished yet Firefox?

I just accidentally deleted a day of history, now it has to relearn a bunch of stuff.

Please add support for undo, so that if you do it by accident, you can reverse it.

There used to be a much more useful interface for clearing specific browsing data (the landscape-oriented one). The new interface is far less detailed to the point of strictly limiting its functionality. There used to be a config setting ("privacy.sanitize.useOldClearHistoryDialog") that could toggle which interface to use, but as of an update in the last week (I've been away without a computer for a while), that toggle does nothing. Is there any other setting that can make this feature actually useful again?

I don't see the suggestions when I'm typing. It was the most visited site by me and firefox was autofilling it. Now I can see there's nothing in my history like it is the first time I use firefox. I haven't changed anything in firefox settings or system files etc. It's just got deleted. I'm a MAC user

In recent activity if I click the kebab menu and select Delete from history the thumbnail disappears to reappear again after a couple of seconds. Only after repeatedly clicking Delete from history the activity actually disappears.

Is this normal behaviour?

Restore previous session, in history, is an important setting. It has now disappeared completely as an option even though restore windows and tabs is ticked. Need to go deeper than the superficial help .

I recently (2 days ago) discovered that my Firefox was broken immediately following a Windows 11 update (2026-01 Preview Update (KB5074105) (26200.7705), in case this means anything to anyone). I first noticed my bookmarks and browsing history were gone (which I noticed a lot of people have already been complaining about recently). I want to start off by EXPLICITLY saying I have tried restarting Firefox, my computer, and following the instructions from the most commonly linked solutions (1 1, 2 2 , 3 3). None of it has many any difference to speak of. Now, onto the diagnosis.

My history is still not being remember or updated. Furthermore, the history management tool (the one that opens up on Ctrl + Shift + O) is completely non-functional. Clicking any button in there does nothing. I have tried to go "Import and Backup -> Restore -> Choose a File", especially because I managed to locate the .jsonlz4 backup files for my bookmarks in the root folder of my (one and only) profile. The history manager does not allow me to open a file, in fact clicking "Choose a File" does not even open a file selection menu. Clicking "Backup" does nothing, clicking "Import Bookmarks from HTML" does nothing. "Views" is also completely empty (which I assume makes sense, given there is no browsing history to speak of).

My only guess is my profile ended up broken somehow? I would guess the Windows update had something to do with it, but the fact that the history is still not being saved 2 days later confuses me greatly. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you in advance.

When I restarted my Windows 10 computer, the activity bar and all my history disappeared.

It was working perfectly this morning.

Any ideas?

This is the second computer in the last two weeks that has done this to me.

My firefox is not recalling the history as I move through tabs. It doesn't appear in the sidebar or in the documented history. This only has happened recently, and it's still recognizing my bookmarks. I've done some troubleshooting, tried relaunching in the mode while switching through tabs, but it's still not recalling. Any help is appreciated.

From time to time I can’t clear my Firefox history. I try from the menu, then within the settings, to no avail. I restarted Firebox and even my Mac, and the history remains. I used CleanMyMac to empty the cache and the history is still there.

My Firefox: 147.0.2 (64-bit) My Mac: Sonoma 14.8.3 (23J220)

I noticed that in the last few months (maybe longer) the windows which were open before Firefox was shut down no longer open up in the same order after Firefox is restarted and 'History > Restore previous session' is selected (I want me to decide whether windows and tabs are re-opened after a Firefox restart, so I don't know if the same problem happens when the setting "Open previous windows and tabs" is selected).

This has been a problem a long(er) time ago, then it worked fine again, and now it happens again.

This might not seam like a big problem but I open new Firefox windows for each 'topic' I want to browse plus the first couple of windows are 'dedicated' to specific things.

But when the windows are 'out of the correct order' I can't just find things the (for me) usual place or windows opened for specific topics- and that is quite annoying. That is the background for this post.

I'm using Windows 11 version 25H2, and my Firefox is up to date (147.0.2)

I hope there are some Mozilla employees working with Firefox in this community (as they have the most 'inside knowledge', but I would of course very much also hear about experiences and ideas regarding this from other Firefox users :-)

I just want good in browse . But bad is like dirty movie or video we want delete this after I use good browse I hope u understand what I mean to use good browse or bad any of this bad automatically to delete this please always remember this thank u
