I usually have about 50 tabs that I leave open, and watch hundreds of youtube videos a day. After a few hours I experience lag, and eventually crashes. Closing and reopening firefox every few hours fixes the problem... Is there a better solution?

I like to browse the internet with about 50 tabs open at a time. My computer does this perfectly fine. But after a few hours of doing this, firefox usues about 1gb of memory in my task manager, and starts to lag, and eventually crashes. I believe the problem is the massive amount of youtube videos (flash videos) that I watch. Closing the browser and reopening the same tabs "resets" the problem, so I don't experience the lag/crash for another few hours. Its kind of annoying to reopen 50 tabs regularly and go through them and pause the youtube videos one by one. I'd like a solution other than "Don't leave so many tabs open, don't leave so many youtube videos open, etc". I have 4gb of ram right now. Would getting more ram solve the problem? I know its probably some type of memory leak with the flash because firefox can't read that the flash is done so it accumulates until the firefox memory use is too much. Or at least thats what I've gathered from researching the problem. But would upgrading my ram to lets say 16gb make the 1gb memory size of firefox seem like nothing?

Or is there some other type of solution available?
