After downloading Firefox 4, I do not get a prompt to drag the Firefox icon into the app folder.

I can drag Firefox 4.0 from my download folder into the app folder, but when I drag Firefox from the app folder into the dock two Firefox icons merge and I don't think 4.0 is active when I click on the dock icon.

Version 3.6.16 is in my dock and runs OK. Should I delete 3.6.16 before I try to insert 4.0 into the dock?
