I changed my download settings for video when downloading large files. How do I get files to open in Media player again without going to the folder or download window?

I was downloading large video files and changed the settings for downloading so that the files wouldn't automatically open in Media Player. Now I would like to change the settings back to where they were, but I can't find how to make them open without having to download, then open from the download window or the folder.
