Subfolders being automatically created when downloading files

Hi all,

We're experiencing a strange issue in our Windows-based organisation when downloading files with Firefox.

We have a file server mapped to users as a drive, S:\

A team of users use "S:\Sent_Quotes" which has a host of subfolders, "November 2018", "December 2018" and so on.

Every few months the previous months' folders are moved to "S:\Sent_Quotes\Archive".

However, when this team of users start downloading quotes from Firefox again (using the "Save File" option), and their browser.download.lastDir is set to "S:\Sent_Quotes\January 2019", when the prompt to save the file is opened, a previous subfolder of "S:\Sent_Quotes" is created, e.g. "S:\Sent_Quotes\December 2018".

The newly created folder is empty and Windows security shows that user as the "owner" of the folder, but this reoccurs every time one of the team opens the "Save File" prompt again. This is not replicable in other browsers from our testing.

Any help would be much appreciated!
