I've been using Firefox all morning. Now, for some unknown reason, every time I start it up, it immediately crashes Windows. I mean, within 1 second or so. There's no time to do anything. After the fourth crash in a row, I just restarted Windows again. It was humming along happily for 10 minutes or so, and then crashed as soon as I started Firefox. After the first crash, the first thing it did was update, but that didn't fix anything. I'd love to share data with you but I'm forced to use Edge right now.

I keep getting sporadic crashes, and sometimes a tab crash (particularly on maps.google.com). I have the latest updates to all my software. What can I do to help prevent these crashes? If there's one thing I can count on, it's that the next version of Thunderbird will be more buggy & unstable that the previous version, and v 140 certainly does not disappoint in that category. It crashes & closes multiple times per day. Any time something else may be using a lot of resources, Thunderbird freezes up and if I click on it, the app crashes & closes. At least the previous just stayed greyed out until it was able to complete the task and didn't crash & close. Great job Mozilla.

Hello My Tabs are automatically crash after sometime i open it, all tabs are crasg out and i reload it again and again this is very annoyed, what can i do to stop reloading or crash

Firefox began crashing a few days ago and has crashed during each log in and use today. Most recently trying to download and print documents. I have disabled all extensions, have text file of the Third=Party modules and Submitted Crash Reports.

This started yesterday. Opening Thunderbird I get a popup saying its from Yahoo and it has my Yahoo mail address on it. If I delete that popup by clicking the upper right "X" another popup takes its place. And so, and so on. One popup after another all for various Yahoo products. Meanwhile Thunderbird can not be used - can't write, can't send and can't receive anything on Thunderbird.

What do I do??? If I reinstall Thunderbird I will loose all my saved emails, and anyway will that work???

I have run my antivirus, checking my whole disks, and nothing.

How do I get rid of the Yahoo popups???? Please someone help me.

I've gone through the various troubleshooting options over the last month or so and Firefox is still crashing constantly for me, even in Troubleshooting mode. Firefox indicated a new version was available and I installed it. After restarting the app, links will not connect and I receive this message.: Gah. Your tab just crashed. We can help!

Choose Restore This Tab or Restore All Crashed Tabs to reload the page/pages.

But nothing helps. I cannot reach most of the sites where I need to work.

I get random crashes while streaming video (for example youtube). I am using a laptop with 2 GPUs (integrated AMD and dedicated Nvidia) and a secondary monitor. If the Firefox windows is on the laptop display I never get crashes but on the secondary display I get around 1-2/hour. Also, this only happens with hardware acceleration enabled in Firefox settings, if I deactivate it then the issue is gone. I think it runs on the AMD integrated graphics, based on what I see in task manager. I also have uBlock origin, haven't tried deactivating it yet. The crashses consist in a black screen from which I can only recorver by doing a hard reset.

Any suggestions on what to try?

I use Thunderbird 128.5.2esr with xubuntu 24.04.

All of a sudden (I haven't changed anything) thunderbird hangs completely after a few minutes running. The process does not react at all, I have to kill it. Thunderbird process is then stuck on 100% load.

Already testet (with no success):

• Troubleshooting Mode with deactivated Addons
• Disabled Global Indexing (with deleting global-messages-db.sqlite file)
• Waiting for 20min (in case thread/process is running a long time)
• Reboot OS

I have no idea what the issue is. Does anyone have ideas? Thx, Hugo

I started getting this message with installation of the latest version - 128.6 on 1-6-2025. The program then hangs forever. I know I have a lot (too much, 1.3GB+) email in my inbox. Where can I find an earlier version to load? Or how can I get this version to startup? I can use a web based program at my internet service provider to read current new messages and delete spam.
