When I select a text and right-click, the option to translate by Firefox's native translation feature appears. The default target language for this seems to be the defined by locale; for my case, it's always Turkish. How do I choose a different target language to appear in the context menu? I cannot see an option for default target language in settings.

1. The browser's built-in full page translation function has poor translation performance, even far lower than other browser functions.

2. The font modification in the settings cannot take effect on the translated page font. For example, when opening a literature page (Elsevier) and clicking on the built-in full page translation, the font does not change.

3. When the page becomes a fixed tab, the prompts before closing multiple tabs will become invalid, and clicking the close button will close all tabs without prompts.

It should be pointed out that the loading speed of this browser is very fast. I feel that using this browser fully utilizes the performance of my computer, rather than some browsers that use a new era CPU and GPU, but the loading speed is the same as more than a decade ago. In addition, this browser has highly personalized features that meet my needs. It would be even better if the above issues could be resolved.

How can I control which languages are default in the translate tab module thing?

It always comes up with "Translate from Spanish, To English". And I have to manually choose every time, which takes up time.

I wish to have it defaulted as "Dutch -> English". I've already se the setting to "Always offer to translate" and "Always translate dutch", but I still have to do it manually sometimes.

Firefox displays some search results in French. Microsoft Edge shows results only in English. Firefox settings are for English. Google settings are for English. How to fix Firefox or should I uninstall, then reinstall Firefox? Rick

Dlaczego zawsze gdy chcę przetłumaczyć stronę pokazują mi się -tłumaczenie z język polski na język perski? Zawsze muszę wprowadzać, że chcę przetłumaczyć z język angielski na polski na przykład. Nie wiem jak mogę to zmienić by móc szybciej przetłumaczyć konkretną stronę? Skąd zawsze pokazuje się ten język perski. Chcę by zawsze wskazywało mi,że chcę przetłumaczyć np z język angielski na polski i nie potzebuję ustawiać, by wszystkie strony tłumaczyły się na język polski. Może ktoś wie jak usunąć tą podpowiedź tłumaczenia z język polski na język polski i ustawić inną podpowiedź? Dziękuję wraz z pozdrowieniami.

Hi. I've downloaded dictionaries and languages, the check spelling option is enabled in the browser settings. However, browser doesn't want to do it automatically. I have to manually enable it with RMB context menu (and re-select languages) for each website individually. Moreover, when the page refreshes, spell checking turning itself off again in RMB menu (but stays enabled in browser options).

  Is this really how it's supposed to work?

I'm used to visiting the about:translations page on desktop and Android to help translate text. This still works on desktop, but it looks like a few releases back, this ability was removed from Android. I can't find any info on what the replacement is, or any new article talking about removing support for it on mobile. What's going on?

How do I get help if the community does not respond??

I've asked for help several times, but have had no responses. Everything appears in English in Firefox, as I would hope - except my bookmarks. I have tried all the settings, and all of the resets, and have even deleted the app and replaced it on my Macbook Pro. Nothing changes.

Hello Mozilla Firefox Team,

I would like to request that Firefox include the Somali language for website translation.

I choose Firefox because I have been told it is more secure, but currently, it does not support Somali. This makes it difficult for me to read news and websites in my native language.

Adding Somali support would provide a better user experience for Somali speakers and improve access to online information. It would also encourage me and others to continue using Firefox as our preferred browser.

Is there a way to save the settings in the widget (see image)? It's very annoying that you have to constantly select it again, especially if you are on a long script. I put it on: Translate from Italian to English, and then it does remember for maybe one or two times, and then it falls back to English to Dutch. The tool itself is useful, but very annoying that it doesn't remember the settings. If it is somehow possible, please let me know how, cause I can't find it anywhere, or I just don't know how to do it. If it isn't possible, maybe it's an idea to add it to the widget?
