Ok, I've resolved this in the past, several version of Firefox ago, under windows. Firefox crashes silently, open it again and no tabs are restored. Open firefox again and look in recently closed windows and the one with my tabs is not there, only little utility windows that are popped up when I log in at the coffee shop, so my recently closed windows are overwritten with windows with no tabs.

So I go to my profile sessionstore-backups folder and copy it to the desktop. I have 6 files, previous.jsonlz4, recovery.baklz4, and recovery.jsonlz4 at around 8 megs in size. I copied each to the folder one level up and renamed them sessionstore.jsonlz4, and each time restarted firefox. All that opens is a blank tabbed firefox window.

There was never an existing sessionstore.jsonlz4 file anywhere I could find, even with firefox closed, this file never appears anywhere I could find it. Searching files with Windows was also unsuccessful.

I feel like I have captured the files with my tabs, based on the date modified, several were from before the crash. Why can't I find a working tutorial on how to restore my tabs? Nothing I've found on the support site works though I follow the directions exactly.

I keep getting a opt-out\opt-in notice from Global Privacy control every couple hours. 1st. I've already opted out. 2nd. I went into about:config and set globalprivacycontrol to (true). 3rd. When I check the globalprivacycontrol.org website it states(GPC signal detected). See attached photos

What more do I have to do to stop this notice from popping up all the time.

I'm running the latest FF under Win7. Seems that whenever I go to the Merriam-Webster (dot) com site, after a few seconds, my disk activity light goes solid, and the FF CPU usage spike to 10-25%. One time, to regain control of my system (because everything seemed hung) I actually had to resort to the physical power-down switch. Obviously I immediately ran a virus scan upon coming back up (scan showed all okay). Now, if I stay away from Merriam-Webster, FF behaves normally. But it's a damned dictionary site. I occasionally will need to use it or stumble into it. I've used MW in the past without problems. Does anyone know what's going on?

In macOS you can set up a global keyboard shortcut for the Move Window to Right Side of Screen command via System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts.... In most apps that support the Move Window to... commands, this will simply move the window to the desired side of the screen when the key combo is pressed.

However, in Firefox the key combo will start the animation as normal but the window will then bounce back to its original location. It's only when the command is activated via a keyboard shortcut that it does the bounce back behavior, though; the command works as intended when activated from the Window menu in the menu bar or from Option + green button in the top left of the window.

The key combo I set up was Shift + Option + Command + Right Arrow, but I've also tried a couple of different key combos and they all did the same bounce back behavior. I've tried it on machines with different versions of macOS (Sonoma beta and Ventura) with the same result. The bounce back behavior also effects the Move Window to Left Side of Screen command.

Hi - Javzscript Enable, though "True", still brings up the error "Enable Javascript". I spent hours on this, but nothing useful was found. Has any one had this problem, and if so, were they able to fix it?

What is going on with the Bookmarks function continuously duplicating? I've used the add-in tool (Love It!), but my bookmarks keep duplicating! What is going on & are you going to fix it? I use Mozilla Firefox exclusively as I don't like or trust Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. Would REALY like to get this problem corrected!

For 8 months i am still getting tab crashed messages whenever i try to pause then replay videos. I have sent crash reports and shown them on the help page and get no real answers.

I don't know what happened because the browser was working fine earlier this morning and I didn't do anything to compromise it. I didn't go to settings and change anything. I suspect someone may have 'hacked in,' if that is still even a 'thing.' I think this because when I try to shut off my internet temporarily someone turns it back on and I usually have to 'fight' with whoever that is to get my internet to go off. I tried to ask google a question I wanted the answer to. That question was, how long does the flu last (because I have it or covid.) I also asked how long does covid last. What happened was that spinning thing where it was continually searching but never going to the site. Can you help, please? Thanks in advance if you can.

What has happened to all of my Task Bar / Tool Bar? As of today, Sunday Nov. 26th, everything is gone. In addition the browser itself looks "different" some how.

Hello. I cannot remove the suggestions that appear in the drop down address bar suggestions list. Shift-delete does not work. Changing the search settings in tools does not work. There is no three dots that appear next to the URL, or a pop up that shows up if I hover over the link. They are stubbornly embedded on that bar and refuse to leave.

The only thing that works is to delete all history, but I don't want to do that. There may be some solution where I micromanage site permissions on a site by site basis but that's way too much work, and should not have to do that.

The URLs on the list themselves are totally random. I cannot figure out how Firefox decided that THESE are the URLs to feature. I visited like once, in a long string of activity.

Anyway, my inability to perform a simple task like right-click-delete or demand that it "stop doing that" is making me claustrophobic.

Hello! When I set up my website restrictions on Mac Ventura (System Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy > Content Restrictions > Access to Web Content > Customize), Safari blocks my sites but Firefox does not.

From what I see (eg, this article ), Firefox should block the same sites. Am I wrong?

while beeing on facebook most of the post i see are in french ,and i set the the language in spanish ...also on ebay,the info showed in the articles have a similar error....it shows them in french and the prices on euros,and i use dollars it happened since the last browser update....i tried both pages in Opera or Edge and they show those in spanish...no problem with them

Why does my tool bar disappear after typing in website in search bar? Book marks appear when I open a new window, however as soon as I type something in the search bar or click on a website the book marks disappear. I have to open a new window for them to reappear again. I didn't change any settings, it happened on it's own. I've added a screen shot for when I open a new window (book marks appear) and a screen shot for when I've typed something in the search bar (book marks disappear). Thank you!

On what port does the firefox extension update on does it use port 21? I need the extensions to be auto updating like set and forget knowing that my firewall is not blocking the required port

My chrome extension is working fine and i want to make it compatible with Firefox as well. In the extension i have used eval method that is throwing error "EvalError: call to eval() blocked by CSP".

I also tried to add below configuration in the manifest 3 file but still getting the CSP issue. ('wasm-unsafe-eval' is also not working.)

Everytime I try to open Mozilla it automatically tries to download "openh264-win64-31c4d2e4a037526fd30d4e5c39f60885986cf865.zip" file, how to stop this ? TIA!!
