When I reinstalled firefox, I had a complete sync on my Tablet (chrome), and my phone (Android).

I signed in using Authy as the MPA. my account came back as blank. I thought wierd. Then signed in again to my phone, It was also blanked, even though it showed previous website visits than no longer were in the profile.

I know have one device (Chrome book). with a complete profile and book mark list, along with passwords etc. Dont wanna sync, as it will wipe that as well. How can I get it to populate correctly.

From Chrome to Android etc.

I read somewhere UserChrome.css is not official part of Firefox but I would greatly appreciate an answer.

I have set toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to true, and userChrome.css file is located here: C:\Users\<my name>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\********.default\chrome\ ,which is the folder pointed out by Firefox in the help menu.

I don't know what would be the most reliable way to test if the file is loaded. I have tested it with these:

 #context-openlinkintab { display:none!important; }
 #TabsToolbar{ background-color: #CCCCCC !important }

Neither change occurs so I assume UserChrome is not loaded.

I created a fresh profile and tested with it, but still no changes in UI. Yes, I did remember to use correct settings in this new profile.

Is this depreciated in Firefox 111 or what might be the problem?

When I open Settings it says: "Your browser is being managed by your organization." I wonder what this means, where did it come from and could this be the problem?

When I open that link there's one entry: Policy Name Policy Value Certificates ImportEnterpriseRoots true

Any help?

Occasionally, when I'm browsing or watching videos the screen will break into 3 or more pieces, to where you only see the top part of the website. If I scroll up or down, the image distorts further and if I scroll down enough, it will break out of the glitch but leave my screen very blurry. When I hover my mouse over any object on the screen, it distorts and makes it incredibly blurry. This problem persists even after closing Firefox, so I have to restart my PC every time this happens.

Please help, I want to switch from Chrome, but Chrome never had an issue like this. The first picture I uploaded is the screen breaking, the second is the blurriness it leaves afterwards.

So, whenever I select an Adobe Community/Forum help link, like this: https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/how-to-set-default-font-in-indesign/m-p/11092203

The web page "blinks" the requested Adobe destination page - but then provides an error page (see page-clip image attached here) and no destination result. It does not require login - I should be able to see the topic in the Adobe Community (HelpX) page.

But either Adobe or Firefox is preventing me from seeing the page. Please advise. Firefox is my default browser. When I copy link and paste-and-go in Chrome, it works as expected - I see the page.

I want to download rather than play an .wmv file. I cannot find where the setting is that causes firefox to play the file rather than download it.

Team,

I have an M2 macbook air. On average, Firefox on my Mac uses between 850megs and frequently well over a gig of my system's RAM. I have deleted all of my extensions (this helped a tiny bit), but the issue remains. It is noteworthy that Chrome, which has more windows opened and is used more frequently, only reports RAM usage of 125 megs up to 275 megs. Please help me.

Systems details M2 Macbook Air Ventura 13.3 (the issue remains between several software upgrades) Firefox 111.0.1 version (again, this memory issue remains after many software upgrades)

Greetings, all:

I have made a feedback few times for this forum here, to have a Stay Signed In option.

Every so many minutes, I get to be signed out, most probably, as a security measure. This then requires me to log in each time, which is not all too bad, but still a bit annoying.

A "Stay Logged In" or "Keep Me Logged In" option is a normal thing on nigh all sites, it would be lovely to have it here as well?

Thoughts?

Kindest regards: Ben

I like using Firefox. But there is an area of my use in private browsing, where I want to have either multiple instances of windows or tabs open and they are recognised as separate browing instances.

Example of what I would like to see is, when I enter a website in private browsing, most sites would ask me to accept cookies. If I either accept or reject without closing this original another private window, it'd remember I've already chosen.

As far as I know, chrome also acts like this. But someone has pointed out Safari doesn't. I've tried it, and it does what I need. However as put in the beginning, I like using Firefox, and is wondering if anyone know if there are any plugins or settings in about:config that can make it happen?

Thank you in advance!

I usually have 10 or so Firefox Windows open - each with 5-10 tabs. Everything should be running in the same instance of Firefox as each Window was opened with the "New WIndow" command in the "File" dropdown menu. When I let MS WIndows update run I usually have only 2-4 windows restored. When only Firefox updates, all windows are properly restored.

My setup: A remote server running CentOS Linux 7 and Firefox Browser 102.7.0esr (64-bit), accessed via RDP from a Windows 10 Enterprise laptop (No tablet)

Up in the top right corner of the Mozilla Firefox window, I have only the close button, the Minimize and the Maximize buttons are missing. In the same gnome (desktop) environment, all other running windows has those buttons available.

Note: if toggle enable or disable those buttons “Minimize” & “Maximize” [command: gnome-tweaks > Windows > "Titlebar Buttons" > toggle] , all running windows in gnome will be affected correctly, except the Firefox window, with no impact. Reinstall Firefox did not help.

This behavior started after our latest yum update recently.

When connected locally to the Linux server, there are no issues, the buttons are available. (i.e., no RDP involved)

After upgrading firefox to the latest version 110.0.1 few users are getting a prompt that firefox version is old and they need to create new profile.

"Using an older version of Firefox can corrupt bookmarks and browsing history already saved to an existing Firefox profile. To protect your information, create a new profile for this installation of Firefox."

I have tried: -uninstalling/reinstalling newest version of Firefox -using run, firefox -p to open the profile -creating a new profile altogether -setting my default profile

Please let me know if there is something else we can try or a fix out there I haven't found

Can't share articles to Twitter because can't scroll down to Tweet button

Ever since about 2 Firefox updates ago, I cannot share articles to Twitter using Firefox. When I share, the Tweet dialogue box pops up showing the article, but the sidebar on the right side of the box (the one needed to scroll down the message to the Tweet button) is greyed out and no amount of clicking, trying to drag, etc., will get it going.

I cannot replicate this problem on Edge, as that browser works seamlessly when sharing articles to Twitter and I am able to scroll down to the Tweet button with no problem. Same with Chrome, I have no problem there, either.

This seems to be a Firefox problem and I cannot for the life of me figure it out. I have not changed any of my Firefox settings. I've disabled all of my extensions and it still doesn't work. I find myself using other browsers more and more as with each Firefox update there seems to be more technical bugs that aren't being fixed.

But I use Twitter often, so this is a significant problem for me. Any reasonable suggestions?
